I've seen it happen every map with ghilles, I thought that they patched like a year ago though.

You misquoted me, I never said I hate QSing because of people complaining, what I said was I hate people who complain constantly about it, if someone is QSing and you can't vote them out, go to a different room, but don't glog the mic with excessive complaining.

I'm not an idiot, I know it isn't very realistic, video games haven't gotten that far yet, but is is meant to be a simulator and recruiting tool for the military and is their best attempt at making as realistic a game as possible. (and I don't think the SEALs accept guys in their 30's so SOCOM is the best I can do!)

If you want to create a QSing room go for it man, power to you, but it is annoying when people come into a good game and start pulling BS like QSing. All I am saying is have some common courtesy to other players and when you join a game ask if they mind about QSing, if they say no then be respectful and don't do it or go find another game.

And Zipper has said it is an exploit a glitch in the game and it is not meant to be there. If you enjoy it fine, that is totally your right, it does take skill and I can see why some people enjoy the challenge, all I am saying is be mindful that a lot of people don't like it and stay out of games where it is not welcome. Simple common courtesy is all I ask.

I don't blame you for disliking complaining..But when I played Socom(For a span of about a year and a half), very rarely did I hear someone complain about QSing, VERY rarely. Even though Zipper said so themselves its a glitch, I still don't think it should removed. It is fun, entertaining, and fair. There is not a single unfair thing about QSing, at all.

I don't know how much the Socom community has changed since I "Retired", but when I played, I never met someone who was against QSing. Of course I met heard the occasional "NO F***ING WAY MAN!" Yes I have said what I'm about to say before, but I can't stress it enough..It is very difficult to become a good QSer, at least for the majority of players, so I don't see how someone could possibly complain about it.

Please, if you could just list the reasons your against it..please do.

100% of the time, the only reason a clan bans quicksniping is if they're **** and get owned by it constantly. They'd ban front grips and automatics if they thought they could do so without being laughed at.

My issue with QSing is simple, you would never see it in real life, and before you say it, yeah I know, lots of things in SOCOM you wouldn't see in real life, but all vids require a minuim suspension of disbelief or they wouldn't be any fun, but SOCOM is, atleast the way we like to play, supposed to be at least an attempt to simulate warfare. While no where near perfect (no vid will ever fully simulate the real thing), that is the intent and no where in real life has anyone ever ran across a field with a 50 cal sniper rifle jumping every five feet and picking people off. Snipers are meant to camp to a certain extent, they are about stealth and patience. If you want to run around with a sniper rifle shooting people rock on, but the jumping part is where you lose me. Listen I am not trying to get into an arguement here, you all are certainly entitled to your opinions.

Let me ask you guys this....why do you like QSing soo much? Why not just use an assault rifle if you don't want to camp and sneak around like a sniper...I just don't understand why the QSing community gets so defensive about it.

Don't take me wrong, I mean all of this with respect and I am curious to hear your opinions. Unfortunetly, these discussions always get ugly for some reason, when we all know it's just another damn video game!

I can jumpsnipe but I choose not too. The clans I play with don't allow it, the reason I hate it isn't because I can't do it...it's because it creates lag and unfair advantage. Sure quicksniping takes more skill than hiding in a bush and sniping but IT ISN'T THAT HARD TO DO. It's very very simple, I miss the old socom 1 and 2 days where sniping took skill, hell even run n gunning took skill. On CA it takes NO SKILL, only smarts. Quick sniping some poor fool in an open field because the maps were poorly designed makes you a good player? Wow how easy is it to snipe someone in open ground? Gun spray and jumpsniping needs to be fixed!

I think its the most fun thing on the game to do, thats why I do it to have fun since its just a game.

It was patched when S3 was the only Socom around, but once S:CA got released, it came back. I think in my first 10 times playing old maps (when S:CA was released) I saw the glitch happen twice.

Hopefully they'll fix it once and for all.

And laying prone where no one can see you and sniping someone in an open field in "Poorly designed maps" makes you a good player? Dude, your full of it, and you know what I mean by it. "UNFAIR ADVANTAGE, CAUSES LAG!" Absolute, textbook definition of BS. While yes QSing is simple once you get the hang of it, it still takes MUCH more skill than running around with an M4 and front grip or sniping people across the map while prone.

MK.48s cause lag, I don't hear you complaining about them, Grenades cause lag, don't hear complaints about them. And PLEASE, PLEASE, feel free to explain how QSing is an "Unfair advantage".

Then why do you hate it so much? Because people can't do it in real life? As I said before, it is not unfair in any way. By no means am I trying to be an ***/start a fight, but I think that is a very stupid reason to hate something just because it isn't realistic. Now if it were an unfair tactic, I'd understand...but its not..

And why did I like it? Because there is extreme satisfaction in jumping, scoping in one somebody mid air and killing them..Very....satisfying.
