But why be diffcult about it? Why not just leave and find somewhere else where you won't hear the B.S. that associates w/ playing where people don't like quicksnipers?

I guess it boils down to this....

On the PS2, you can't boot anyone at will. You can't simply kick someone for not following the rules of the game, so if they want to be difficult, they will.

Thank God for the way the 360's games are set up.

Now I know why everyone loves you. Here's what I think to kind of go along with your thought:

For people to think QSing is cheap or a glitch think about the F90. Usually the 2nd bullet that comes out of an F90 is a spray to the head. I would rather get killed by a slow sniper, from far away while the shooter is in mid air then a person using an F90 getting lucky spray kills. QSers are usually jumping and running around so they're easy to see and avoid compared to someone corner camping with an auto-headshot F90.

It's not a glitch. Simple. Were it an actual glitch, it would have been patched by one of the 5 (roughly, I don't actually count) patches that have been issued by Zipper correcting glitches/bugs in the game.

Zipper did say they did not intend for Quicksniping to be in the game, not in the caliber it is (jump sniping). Half the people that claim quicksniping to be a glitch cannot do it themselves. When they get killed because they sit in the same spot every round, they need to complain about something to make up for their lackluster skill.

Realism?

People say it's unrealistic. No **** Sherlock. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you've been playing with your eyes closed and opened them ONLY to see one person quick snipe. If not, you are simply not intelligent. Realistic moments in Socom have (and most likely always will be) few and far between. There's not much realistic about this game if you actually look at it that way.

If you want realism, go out and join the armed forces. That's the only way you'll get a realistic experience. If you're expecting anything near realism while sitting down in your favorite chair, eating a slice of pizza, and talking to people over the internet..... I think you may be what I call a waste of life. If you can seriously put that thought through your head, then I am 100% sincerely sorry for you. You may look for a realistic feel, or maybe even something to simulate the feeling of war, but don't take it past that. I actually highly suggest looking at this as merely a game, find entertainment within it, don't put your heart into it for a win. Try no to get worked up, it's not worth it, it's only a game.

Those are the two main arguments about quicksniping, and they are both null and void if you simply use some logic (something not done around here all to often, I know). If a single person on here can logically explain to me how it is a glitch, I will send you $50 via PayPal immediately. I can say this, because there is no logical argument for it being a glitch. It has been in the game for a year and a half, and has gone through multiple patches without being removed. There is no abuse of in game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage, and there's nothing being used except what everyone else uses to play. Controller and game.

Before anyone goes and says I say this only because I quicksnipe, let me go ahead and call you an idiot in advance. Thanks

So let me get this straight. Since the patches have not fixed quicksniping it is ok to use. So that means that it is ok to use the invisible Guillie suit because it is no longer patched and you "can use it right out of the box." I think that is a terrible comparison.

I wouldn't call QS a glitch, but more of an exploit in the game. Don't get me wrong I could care less about QS because 9 times out of 10 I kill them first. If you are constanly getting killed by QS then the patch is the least of your worries. I would much rather them patch the retarded *** guillies and the mod discs/ code 9 or whatever that crap is called. QS annoys some but the crying about it annoys much more of us.

I have never QS and never will simply because I like to run and gun and die in a blaze of glory. I have too little patience to pick up a sniper rifle and lay down and wait or bounce all over the screen like a camoflauged Tigger.

If quicksniping is a glitch, getting shot is also a glitch. We all know that if you got shot twice in both knees, or simply twice in the chest, you wouldn't be running anywhere fast. Yet the socom characters take it like pros.

Explain the difference?

But there is a difference.

QSing has never been patched in the year and a half Socom 3/CA have been out. Therefore, you could say it is legit to use by everybody "right out of the box."
On the other hand, the invisible ghillies could be said to not be legit "right out of the box." Seeing as how it was patched, and Zipper, in all it's glory, forgot that they fixed the invisible ghillie, and it has returned.

Ok it seems people don't know where I'm coming from...I'm not against quicksniping/jumpsniping w/e you call it. I can do it, I don't like to do it because it gives me an advantage...I like to be disadvantaged. That way when I win it looks better than doing something that nobody else can do.

This is a FACT Zipper said jumpsniping is a flaw the same as soft spotting. Why hasn't it been patched before? I'm not sure how come code magic wasn't patched and why don't we have a patch?!

Razzor you asked me how quicksniping makes a difference? It makes a difference because people camp a lot more because they are afraid of being sniped....since almost everyone can snipe in this game. Socom 1 and 2 there was true gunner who could really aim and skilled snipers...then there was suck arse players.

CA seems to be noob friendly and lets everyone be good at the game...people get kills that shouldn't.

I could care less what happenes because I can gun and sniper very well...I even managed to keep my LT rank.

I'll be on the 360 where we do get updates! (CA is when I get bored of GRAW 2 lol socom is still the shizz. )

But, elaborate on how you get an advantage from running out in the open and jumping around...

The mental image from this comment had me laughing so hard I about fell out! That's great.

As for why Zipper has waited so long to patch this, that is a flawed point. Nothing Zipper does makes any real sense, they wait forever to fix anything, and usually when they do fix something, its something rather unimportant. Half of the patches from SOCOM 2 & 3 I never knew about until someone actually pointed them out. The R3 slide from SOCOM wasn't fixed until the greatest hits disk. Point is, just because it hasn't been fixed doesn't mean it is or isn't a glitch. Its all about how you personally view it and its use. I don't do it because its annoying and stupid to me, that doesn't mean my view is the right one. We can argue about this until we are blue in the face, and creating shoddy reasons isn't going to change how anyone feels about it.
