Not a whole lot like Socom, but the best online PS3 experience so far is Splinter Cell Double Agent. The 3on 3 spy vs. mercs is amazing and extremely addictive. If you get it send an invite to FragginHoes and I'll help you out and do a online wa;lk through together.

The biggest thing for me is that I want a good third person shooter. Not many like that. I cant say personally but Gears of War is supposed to be good, but never played it so I cant really compare it. I think I might check out GRAW 2 when it comes out for the ps3 this summer.

I have heard a lot of good things about Resistance Fall of Man, but that's about it. Fact is Sony was late getting the specs to the game developers so there aren't going to be a lot of good titles until probably X-mas time.

I was gonna say Ghost recon. I played that before I got on playstation.
But what about Syphon Filter?

Tell you the truth Playstation isnt known for its shooters though. More of a fighting/sports platform. Xbox is a shooters system.
When Halo 3 comes out watch how much less people are gonna be online in SOCOM and other games.

Metal Gear Solid 1-4 (these own every game ever made)
Syphon Filter (rather good IMO) 1-4
SOCOM 1-2

Idk... I really think the only good shooters on the Xbox is the new Ghost Recon and Gears of war.

Well Maetal gear aint online enables is it?I'm not sure.
Too bad G0ldeneye was only for 64. That game owns all shooter period.

MGS3 had online. The controls were messed up but it was pretty fun. MGS4's online I hope will be good.

Also, thanks to you I need to dust off my 64 and play some goldeneye.

ohhh , mt bad, I didnt know MGS was online. I may try it out when I see it cheap at gamestop.
But Goldeneneye was the best shooter to me.
I still cant find a decent game with proximity mines!!!

Don't forget about Rainbox Six Vegas... that is another awesome shooter that is playable on Xbox 360.

(And soon it will be playable on PS3.)
