But I still do not think they help us to understand classical literature, I have been playing video games since the NES was huge. I am currently reading Hamlet in school, and We are in like act 5 and I still have no ****ing clue as to what they are saying.
I'm right with ya' on that one except it's Romeo and Juliet that got me. It's a great story but I just don't understand a lot of the stuff. The only things I know that they say in shakesperian language is thou and art.

I loved romeo and juliet. I can understand shakespeares works easily. I dont have many problems with them. And I for one, am not afraid to admit, I enjoyed romeo and juliet. It made my list of books Ive enjoyed reading that were school books. So far there is only 2 books

the Outsiders
romeo and juliet.

Definatley kept me from sleeping when we read it last year in English. We watched the movie about it, but the book was no doubt better.

hmm weird. All the hardcore gamers in my high school are in the bottom classes and can't speak proper english. I guess its okay to a certain degree, but past a certain point it will actually have a negative effect...no doubt. eg. bad eyesight from strain, becoming anti-social/doing productive things in life. Just my 2 cents

I was a hardcore gamer, and was also on the bottom of the class. But it wasn't entirely my fault (home issues FTW!).

Everyone knew it, that's probably why they asked me for help for schoolwork even though my GPA suggested they shouldn't.
