Rank Reset Again?

I've heard from a number of people that the stats are going to be frozen until monday then all the stats and stuff will be erased. Now I know we can't really go by anyones word until it actually happens (especially Sony and Zipper's), however why the hell else would the stats not be updating. My stats have been frozen for over a week now, and I can't really think of any other reason as to why they would be unless they are going to reset them anyways.

Has anyone else heard this, and what truth can we take from these rumors? Probably nothing because of the fact they are rumors, however I'm just wondering if someone here knows something I don't.

If the stats aren't going to be erased I'd love to know why the F for over a week now the stats are frozen. Banning people and all that **** is BS, that should not effect my stats.

if they going to reset rank please zipper bring a patch that fix the ranking system and other stuff that need to be fixed in the game and give the map pack for free

You never know with socom. I ultimatley don't care if they reset the ranks or if the stats are frozen. Until the system as a whole is fixed what's the point of reseting the ranks every so often. Like the dude before me I would love a patch that fixes all these things. If there was such a patch my socom experience would lean towards the positive. Socom has been my worst experience online as far as a company keeping track of there product. I feel that if we paid it would be alittle better but wtf, have some self dignity and responsibility zipper sony for a product you put out. The sad thing is if we did pay the game doesn't cut it for people to stick with it. 1

Yeah I agree with a lot of you. The ranking system as a whole was a huge mistake, the S2 system was a thousand times better. I understand, we don't pay for this so it's not going to be up to par with Xbox Live and even other PS2 games, however they could at least let us know what's going. The most unbelievable thing about this whole ordeal is that Sony or Zipper hasn't said anything about it. They haven't posted news about whats going on and what there doing to fix it. They just leave us in the dark making us think up some BS that we "think" is happening when all they have to do is let us know.

I'm not asking for a perfect fix now, or even tomorrow for that matter. I understand this stuff takes time to fix. All I'm asking for is a little news as to why this is happening. I mean seriously, it's been over a week now and nothing from sony. Just a bunch or angry players posting on the socom forums online wondering. It seems to me that sony /zipper needs to hire a new PR director. Zipper/Sony, if your listening, just please inform your gamers at the very least, what the F is going on with the servers and stats. Gamers HATE to be left in the DARK. Not knowing when, or if this will be fixed.

i doubt they will reset the ranks, i think they might be getting their servers set for a new patch or map pack. Its pointless to reset the ranks.

well look at it like this they reset the ranks at the beginning of releasing combined assault, alot of people were unhappy but yet they along with all of us still played. before they reset for combined assault i had 17,000 kills and like 12,500 deaths but they did it because of all the rank ups. my solution is simple all the bogus disconnects while trying to follow friends or clan mates is the main problem along with the code magic/9 users and of course the rank ups. i have 85 disconnects because of this glitch in the system and i have at this point now 6,500 kills and 3,500 deaths and 400 mvps and 375 more wins than losses and i'm only a gold cookie those are deffinately admiral stats but oh well thats the ranking system for you. but we all will continue to play socom because it is our socrak and we are all addicted to this game franchise. i try to tell my clan mates to play only friendly fire and you'll get better stats but thats not true when you play against players with high negatives beat the piss out of them and you lose points. the ranking system sucks so reset or not we will all continue to play but right now i'm playing god of war 2 and it's damn good so socom reset or not i could care less. p.s. wheres those imaginary map packs we were told they would be here 6 months ago.

Yeah thats the said thing, even though I enjoy seeing my stats and how I'm doing compared with other people, I will still play this game if this continues. This game has some sort of hold on my to which I can not escape, lol. I've been playing online since S2 came out and will always play this game. I just hope sony and zipper can get it together, because I see a lot more people switching to Xbox Live to you don't have to deal with this BS. They'd better get it together because if xbox ever comes out with a good third person shooter like socom, Sony/Zipper will lose half of it's online community.

Is it me or are these forums very very DEAD right now.

In socom 3 the ranking systme was awefull, i dont know why zipper din't put the socom 2 ranking system on the new socom
but for worst they reset the rank but no patch they did not do anithing
is like clean the hause and the next day is dirty again.

I hope for the new socom on the playstation 3 with a greater comunnity
and at least every week news or every month .

If that wont happend i will quit socom thats my opinion

As for your opinions I strongly agree. I understand the ranking system but it doesn't fit the game. I only know one person who plays S3/CA and has the ranking system working for them. As for having a better community, it would be nice but doubt it will happen. The last news update for S3/CA was back in January I belive, when the patch came out. For more than a year there's only been four or so news updates and as it seems it doesn't look like Zipper is doing anything to improve.
