Yes it's a free service, but I agree this is getting ridicules!!, Never in Socom history has there been so many issues with the online multiplayer aspect of the game. There is just so much negativity lately, but it's for a good reason. Socom has become a cheat/glitch fest, and that's only if your online long enough to see it before becoming booted. I am embarrassed to tell friends or others about the online experience of SOCOM, it is no where near what it was during SOCOM 2. Still if it's a free service how are they supposed to sell more games which in turn creates revenue and profits if they don't fix what's wrong with the multiplayer, that's what made the Socom series popular in the first place. And now with the PS3 being released that has really yet to get off the ground with launch issues and everyone complaining about the PS3's online experience as well. With unbelievable PR f***ups IGN: Sony Site Snafu It's hard to defend Sony with all of there latest issues in the gaming industry, it's just a lose lose situation for everyone.

Yea, I def. been kicked offline like 6 times this week and the other day I got booted and couldn't get back on for 1 hour and my friends list wasn't working for the rest of the night which sucks because I couldn't play with anyone since the clan wasn't on

Yeah once the gb ladders get reset im done with socom till S4, unless theres like a really big *** patch that came out that fixes all this crap..

Not really. When S3 first came out there was about 40,000 people online during the night. Now there's about 15,000-20,000 online a night.

Man sorry to hear its been this bad for you but for me the experience has been great. yeah it has its small problems IMO (servers going down, glitchers and lag) but whenever the servers are down i just hangout with the fellas, go workout or go get laid so its not a big deal b/c usually when im done its backup and running. i think over time the online gaming experience will slowly get better and better like it has been since day one.
