An interesting retrospective on that thing that's probably in your hands more than anything else...

That's awesome....

I had to crack up about the ultra-simplistic NES controller. I could'nt believe how many of the systems I have actually passed up over the years. I still remeber the day my Creators bought me my first Atari 2600 system with Freeway and Kaboom.

Nice Thread

It's certainly a trip down memory lane for some of us. Personally I've owned at least a quarter of those, and played more than half of them.

It's a slight advantage being older at times. I've been able to see and experience electronic gaming from it's beginning. For the first time in my life, I think I feel as older generations must have felt in seeing the evolution of automobiles, or planes.

I can't even imagine the things I'll see before the end of my days with the way technology is constantly and rapidly advancing.

One thing's for sure though. Beer will always be beer, and I'm quite comfortable in knowing that much.

Agreed on all levels.

For as old as I am, I am very proud to have been involved with Video Games and Consoles since the beginning. And I'm confident I will never stop. The only other thing that makes me proud of my age is being born pre Star Wars IV " An New Hope " and remembering the full cinematic experience of it. But I don't think I'm that old LOL
