MLK Jr. Day
Alot of people these days think this is just another day off from school or work.

But, I think everyone could relate atleast in some sense of the Dream MLK Jr. had for all.

I wish i could say it was another day off work but thats not the case. I agree with you on how people don't look at this day like they should.

I admire the man's determination and ideology, but I for obvious reasons have a tough time relating to anything he has done. Not much else I can say about the matter.

I enjoyed my day off and didn't think once about Martin Luther King Jr. until just now... I am a horrible person. This black girl at school told me to hug a black person today, and I didn't even do that!

A bit of history for everyone:
This day used to be in honor of Robert E. Lee and Thomas Jackson since 1889 but in 1983 however, (in my opinion, due to "White Guilt") Ronald Regan approved the day as a national holiday in honor of MLK. Virginia, being the true southern rebels that they are, still considered it to be "Lee-Jackson-King Day" up until 2000 when they split up the days. And there you have it.
