Thats what i was going to say, its not that it takes away all of the Na and whatnot, its just that so much water will be attracted into the cell and the cell will eventually expand to the point of bursting. Kinda like the guy in the first Xmen movie ( the senator guy, but definately not like he did, just an example)

I hate water too. I know it's great for you and all... but it's just boring to drink. There's not taste to it and I prefer things you can taste. To me it's the equivalent as to the reasoning I don't eat plain oatmeal everyday either.

There are plenty of other things to drink... Iced tea, flavoured water, Soux City Sarsaparilla, Mr. Pibb, orange juice, apple juice, grapefruit juice, tomato juice... not to mention red wine, beer, whiskey, rum and vodka...

Agreed.

I used to drink flavored (I use that term loosely) water in England while I had my brace on, but I am now drinking (not at the same time) A&W Creme Soda, Coke, and Welch's Grape-juice. I go through about 6 or 7 a day of the grape-juice drinks, I only drink Coke at school, and I haven't drank A&W for a few weeks. And no, I don't drink tea.

.... You did ask what I drank.

I obviously drink alcohol. Im English so that goes without saying.

I drink whatever we have in the cooler at The Store (small town grocery i work at, pwnsauce!). If you're chewing really strong gum like big red, or something like bubilicious, water is ok. Because it makes theg um taste better :), otherwise i steer clear of it.

Who cares, do you know how much money the lawyers are going to make off this case when the holders of this contest get sued? You won't see anymore pie-eating, hot dog, or pee-wii contests soon. All for a Wii?

Gatorade is better for you after working out for the exact reason this woman died. You lose your bodies natual salts, electrolytes, and if you just drown yourself with tons of water you'll end up with flooded cells. Gatorade replenishes much better than water.

I'm sure she had to sign a waiver of responsibility or something before taking part in this, so I doubt a lawsuit.

There's always a lawsuit to be filed for something. They will come with whatever they can bring. What happens after we don't know. But IMO, I prefer Propel. It's not as much sugar as reg Gatorade and has some sweet flavors. Sometimes in FLA heat, nothing is like an ice cold water out on the coarse...or an ice cold beer for that matter...so does it matter which is better as long as its cold?
