The only way possible: do away with that which they abuse.

If weapons and what not were awarded to people based on their rank, or stats, then obviously people would find ways to abuse it.

The solution is simple: do away with ranks and stats completely.

Then you leave people with only one reason to play the game, and that's to play the game. People would no longer look better because of an icon next to their name, or their position on the leaderboard, but only for their performance on the battlefield. That's the way it should be.

This game is goofy. In the time it took me to join about five games... I got code-magic killed, soft spotted, someone pulled their cord on me in the middle of a pistol fight.. and got camped on 4 on 1 on KF as a terrorist. (guess where they were camping.)

The easiest way to make the game more addicting is to add some incentives to playing more often.

Award medals and ribbons for specific tasks completed and what not.
Similiar to how madden awards players for gaining 10000 rushing yards etc.

Some examples-
-1000 kills, 5000 kills etc
- 100 bomb plants (w) success
and so on and so on

These "trophies" would dignify real players and people who excel without the correct rank...

Another way is

Put more emphasis in strategy...this rests as much on players as much as it does Zipper.
Strategizing is fun, whether you fail or succeed.
When you and your teamates strategize a plan and then execute it to perfection....its pretty bad ***....

Allow there to be a community map that dead players can draw on and draw up a strategy. I feel that would greatly increase people's strategic approach. I personally enjoy performing a strategy as a team rather then being a one man rambo that dances around hoping to dodge bullets....its so fake

Socompeta your idea sounds kinda cool but its definitely not original. That is exactly 100% what Battlefield 2 has. Their game is kinda cool but it could be better. Anyway i do like your idea Kmullen5. If they could add all that to Socom 3 i'd be addicted as much as i was when i played Socom 2. Now Socom 3 isn't even half the game Socom 2 was. They could've done so much more. Oh well maybe your idea will be considered in the next game.

They should make it so you cant prone. Also like if your in the briefing room thing looking for a game they should make it so you can see what round the game is in. I hate when you join a game and its like over right when you join.

BAN DSL PEOPLE! I used to have DSL from Verizon and people always complained about me lagging, occasionally I lagged out of rooms. I switched to fiber optic cable and the only lag I notice is from other players.

DSL is fine as long as nothing else is running on the connection.
