I didn't see it say there was any bad news. All it said was that it might not dominate like last gen. It might be a very close race with the 360 and Wii.

The only "bad news" is the thought that it will be a close race. That isn't really bad news since that will make competition more intense and that will mean more price drops (maybe) and better games (maybe).

Thats bad news? It is basically saying that the PS3 will be ahead of the competition but not as far as the PS2 was. Once the PS3 becomes more available then many will be sold. I bet PS3s will still be hard to get come summer this year.

The ps3 is actually in some stores and online sites now.... but once they get some decent games (Rainbow 6 vegas is the closest one to come out) it will sell more. It gets boring playing resistance all day, and COD3 is only good for one play through IMO. But once heavenly sword, MGS4, and a few others come out; Ps3 will dominate for at least a year or two after.

Also the only market they have any competition in is North America... Asia dosen't even know what an Xbox and same for most areas of the world. But Sony does really treat the europeans badly, always delaying the releases there anywhere from 3 months to a year later

its because they make the games in NTSC first then do the PAL coding

You can count on there being more price drops and better games with more intense competition between the next gen consoles... that's the way it's always been. That's one of the reasons why I am a fan of all of the console manufacturers... competition drives this industry more than any other factor.

Shoot the ps3 won't be worth getting until 2010. By then all the bugs should be fixed, and the price should have considerably dropped. Maybe if it was around the XBOX 360 price it would be more desirable at this point. No console system is worth spending a grand on off ebay, but everyone will still buy one cause we have to have it now or else.

What's $100 when it comes to a high definition gaming system? Bugs fixed? I haven't had any problems with my system yet, and I'll be happy to give it a year, just like the 360 got for it to only improve. Also, I didn't have to spend a grand off ebay, they are considerably less now and actually available at MSRP all over online stores now. I didn't buy mine because I needed it, but because I was able to and would eventually get it anyway. Oh well, I guess it's just a "difference of opinion".

I still haven't gotten a PS3. I'm actually getting a 360 sooner than the PS3... It's easier for me to get a 360 than a PS3, and plus..... I'll be getting both, so I'm getting the cheaper one first.
