Zipper's Cleaning out of RANK UPS
I wanna know what some of you think on this subject. Why is Zipper cleaning out the rankings of all those who rank up. You know, the guy who has 0 kills and 0 deaths in 15000 games with all escort wins. Does it really matter if the dude has no life and sits in a room all day with his buddies and have 3 ps2. Does it really have any effect on the outcome of our games played? Yes, I know they are cheating and they are losers. But Zipper has spent the last week or so, eliminating much of the top 500 who were doing this rank up and those suspected of it. Why though, when you can still look at the top 100 and see some people with their stats saying the most kills they got in a round was 4590. Why does Zipper concentrate on the rank ups and not the people who really f up the game, the code 9 children? It doesnt make any sence to me. Rank ups dont ruin anyones game, code 9 kids do. Take that ageofpoo guy, he's not banned, yet the guy with 1000 escort wins with 0 kills and deaths is banned. Zipper needs to wake up. People who love Socom dont stop playing cus of rank ups, they stop cus of code 9 kids. I dont know, maybe I'am an idiot, i just think Zipper's priority should be code 9, not rank ups.

While code 9 should be a priority, I don't see why you are upset over rank ups being banned. In my opinion, it doesn't get any better than deleting something that someone wasted their life on for days on end.

you read my post wrong, or i wrote it confusing, im glad rank ups are being banned, but my point is, they arent effecting anyones game, code 9 kids are and zipper does nothing about them. All they care about is rank ups. But if i had my way, all code 9 kids would be banned before they ban any rank up.

Well, it's certainly par for the course. Zipper, pre and post SCEA acquisition, has never done anything in a timely manner.
If history prooves to be true...
Map Pack #2 will be out in May '07
F90 will be fixed in November '07
and Quicksniping will be patched sometime in '08.
And I won't be missing any of it.

Who cares? The game is still what it is. A solid, good game with a lot of ******, ignorant players who will do anything to win. The key is finding a good room or playing with friends.
I still have fun with Socom, regardless of rank ups or Code 9. I'd rather have Zipper ban campers than ban Code 9 to be honest.

Well at least they are doing something ya know? First take away the rankups, then take away the glitchers, then take away the cheaters. They actually have a site for the PS3 online where you can report cheaters and stuff.. Complaint Form - Page 1

I'm glad to see that they're ridding socom of the idiots that sit and rank up all damn day. If anyone says different, they're probably just a queer rank up not wanting all their hard work to be spoiled by Zipper actually doing something

These are areas of online gaming that no one will be able to stop. The best way to avoid it is to not worry about things such as rank and just play the game right. Rank only proves one thing: who has more time on their hands. There are a lot of very good players who do not have the time to sit there all day and worry about rank, due to bigger commitments in life: work or school. As long as you can hold your own with anyone in Socom, admiral or ensign, it doesn't matter. Especially in Socom, I don't know anyone who repects rank, we all know most in the top are rank-ups. Eliminating rank is the only viable option to stopping the process. Personally I wouldn't mind if rank didn't exist, and farewell to the rank-ups zipper cleans out, they wasted hours of their life they can not get back worrying about a fictional rank.
