Last year, at about this time, I made an announcement concerning this holiday.

It was a sort of a log on my feelings for this time of year, and it went well. So I'll wish you all the same, again.
Attention all SOCOM III, Video-game-forumers. Christmas is yet a day away. Christmas is tomorrow. But, what is a day? Why do we only act with love and compassion to one another on this day? What makes this day so special?
People like me, being there are very few people like me..., ponder this question every year. What makes Christmas, different? There are always extremes. Never anyone in the middle. When the season rolls around, you have the Santa and the Scrooge. Ah yes, the ever familiar icons of the holidays. Patrons of the holidays categorize themselves as one of the two, being a Santa or a Scrooge, and press onward through the holidays.
Being the Santa, you bring joy to everyone and create life so special, only to revert back to yourself just merely a day later as you grumble at the mess and that half-dead tree that just can't seem to stop shedding not only its pricklies, but the ornaments and branches itself.
And yet, we have the Scrooges. These people don't set up Christmas lights, always have a "Dire Problem" in their life, never have a smile, and keep the same hue of gray surrounding them. And yet, these people are what make Christmas the holiday that it is. True Scrooges only wish so much and receive so little. They want hope, love, and will take in charity when it comes. But, it doesn't come. It doesn't come and they become resentful. Resenting every fact of Christmas, every light, every blow-up lawn ornament, every song, every gift, every toy, every 40% off Sale, every Black Friday, every Boxing Day, every night when Santa was supposed to come and he simply "made plans elsewhere..."
It breaks my heart and that heart of a Scrooge, when Santas only reach out to other Santas. That's not Christmas. Christmas isn't about the hundreds and thousands spent on Christmas Lights. Christmas isn't about rushing to the store to wait in line for a Tickle-Me-Elmo doll. Christmas isn't about red and green and white. Christmas shows its colors in shades of Gray. As a participator of the Holiday spirit, reach out to Gray. No matter how much they turn it down, they want love. Those that reject the first knocking will, with a burdened heart, allow you to come in at the second.
Give. Love. Help.
With the world in the state it is in today, live each moment as if it could end. And help those who wish it just would end.
So, on that final note, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas. And if you're Jewish or just simply don't celebrate a holiday here, I wish you Merry Christmas as well. The holiday can mean whatever you want. I still wish the best wishes toward you.
I love you all, Merry Christmas everyone.
