I can't believe there wasn't a thread on this already...

Saw the movie last night. Well, it's better than Rocky V, I'll say that much.

I really think this movie would've been awesome, had it been made 5-10 years ago. Stallone really looks old, beyond the point of suspension of disbelief. I know he's Rocky, but come on, he's old. Seriously.

There's a lot of potential in the story, some great ideas, just poor execution.

Better than Rocky V, but not as good as Rocky IV. All in all, the right way to end it.

He looks so big because he's so short. At the fight in the movie, they announce his weight as 212 lbs. To have that much mass, yet weigh so little (little to me, I'm 6' 5" and 250lbs), you've gotta be short.

Yea the movie can't be a letdown all the others were amazing IMO. The Clubber lang one was great. Just sad when Mickey(his trainer) died. I hope to see it when it's on DVD.

I don't think Rambo IV will get done now that this is out. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

He's got a good ability for writing and directing. There's definitely potential there. I think instead of putting old hats on, he should start moving forward in that direction.

He's been saying for years he wants to shoot a Poe biopic; he should do that instead.

I just got back from the movie and it was really great. Not that I'm an expert on Rocky, but it felt like another Rocky movie to me, not the ****** sequel type of movie that Hollywood seems to love so much.

I recommend going to see it.

Edit: Having said that, it would have been better if he fought a few lions or sharks instead.

IMDb has a lot of positive reviews about this movie. They said this was a great way to bring a closure to the Rocky saga.

I'm gonna see it next month. It has been my dream to see Sly as Rocky on the big screen. I never thought it would happen though.
