Downloaded Map Pack and it makes my game freeze...anyone know what's up?

So I finally downloaded the map pack (on CA) and whenever I try to enter a game, the game freezes at the loading screen right before the game starts. Am I supposed to have my USB drive inserted when I play? Or do i need to take it out or anything? WTF? I went through all the map pack stickies and don't seem to find any answers to my problem. Anyone know what my problem might be? Thanks

Well your USB drive needs to be in. If it isn't, that's your problem. Otherwise I have no idea, you might want to consider suicide.

Take out your USB and try joining a room (not new maps obviously) and see how that goes.

Maybe the data is corrupt try erasing the file and downloading again.

Does it freeze, and then go back to the begining where you need to press "X"?

If this happens you need to clean your disk, or get a new one. Trust me if you have the same problem I did then this is the problem.

This happened to me too. My advice would to be to redownload them and try again.

ok, thanks for the help. I was thinking maybe i needed to remove the usb drive after the maps loaded up or something like that. It seems I've done everything right, but when i try to enter a game with the USB drive inserted, it usually freezes up on the loading/"spinning fan" screen, even when i'm not trying to play on one of the downloaded maps. I guess I'll just try to redownload it and see if it keeps happening.

You need a massive storage device. I used my MP3 player. You can also use a Flash Drive or HDD. There are probably other things too, I just don't know them.

Once you log in, go to the Community tab at the top, then go to SOCOM Store, and there ya' go. The maps that are available as of now are Last Bastion, Liberation, and After Hours.
