Exclamation A solution to Update issues

After seeing many people struggle with the updates on Socom 3, I have decided to let the world know a few tips on what might be 'wrong' with the update. I have provided a few steps in order to solve this mystery issue with many gamers. Please read the steps slowly and carefully for the full benefit of these words:

Step #1 - After throwing your controller at the wall, make sure you know that the issue has something to do with the online updates.

Step #2 - Try downloading the update again. If the update still does not download (if you still recieve errors), wait an hour or two, then try again.

Step #3 (This step should only be read if the update still does not download) - Check your memory card, look for corrupted files (not just Socom files). Delete corrupted files as necessary.

Step #4 - Check your disc, it may contain scratches and/ or unwanted dust.

Step #5 - Remove ethernet cable for 10 seconds then replug.

Step #6 - If the download is still not processing correctly, check your router. Make sure the cable is plugged in securely.

Step #7 - Check your modem. Most modems contain an 'Activity' light. Make sure this light is flashing.

Step #8 - Check your internet connection (of course it must be Broadband in order to function correctly). Unplug your internet cord for 10 or 15 seconds then replug.

Step #9 - Consult Sony or your internet service provider.

Step #10 - Check if other games work online. If other games do work online, you may have to format your memory card (only if necessary, this deletes ALL files from your memory card).

That is all the help I can give. I hope this helped anyone who had or has issues with the Socom 3 online updates. If your update is still not working at this point, repeat steps 1-10 as needed.
