I haven't got the link to where I read it, but I know I read it. I'm not one to post bogus info, but as all things online, take it with a grain of salt.
One thing that certainly supports this is that Bluetooth was developed by Ericsson, which later became Sony Ericsson. Being that the PS3 supports Bluetooth controllers, it only makes perfect logical sense that it would also support Bluetooth headsets.
I can already tell you that you
will not be able to use your current headset with the PS3. As shown
here the PS3 uses mini-usb ports, so you will certainly be buying a new headset and I'd bet a month's salary it's bluetooth.
