Question about the rep system

I hate to be all nit picky and stuff, but this really annoys me.

When someone has red rep points, it says they have some shameless encounters in the past (something like that). The thing that bothers me is the word shameless. Wouldn't shameful be correct?

Maybe it's not registering completely (to my brain) because I'm tired. If shameless is the better choice than lock this, but if it's not, take shameful into consideration.

They may have no shame in what they say, something offensive to another and they feel no shame for it.

It's all in the interpretation.

For most people it was pretty biased anyway, and then there were the people that just wanted to test and see all the levels and stuff, thus getting either huge amounts of + or - rep.

Obviously true, but that's the entire point of the system- to show popularity.

People give positive rep to posts they like. People give negative rep to posts they don't like. Some people complain about getting negative rep. To be honest, if they can't handle getting a negative rep, then they need to evaluate what's important to them and what's not.. Having tons of good rep doesn't make you some sort of god, or a person with high authority, or any of that..it's just a system to use for fun. Some people take it seriously, others don't. If you don't like receiving negative rep, then maybe you should try being more helpful instead of making fun of someone or just spamming.

Either way, the Rep points get exploited, people'll vote + rep for any kind of post, be it an informative post or otherwise.

I'm no angel, I've done that, just as I'm sure about 500 others have as well.

aww i liked the rep system. but yeah it was pretty biased. i always gave rep to someone who made a gift for someone, or posted something like brushes, render pack ect.
