Member of the month?

Pretty self explanitory. We have a member of the month award or even member of the week or even both. The winner gets the tag under their name - like where the Moderator or Graphics staff Tag would go or below the Mod or GS tag if they are a Mod or GS member. Hold a voting thread at the end of every month or week. If it gets considered I will go into details but thats it for now.

What are your thoughts?

This is a neat idea indeed. It should be only up to the mods and GS to see who gets it though.

Nah, group vote IMO. Everyone on VGF should be able to vote.

The point is, it would be fun to do and would be something different.

I don't mean to shoot down and kill your idea, because in theory it is pretty interesting. However, it simply would not be able to work. At first it might be fun and entertaining. In the following months or weeks it would get boring, less people will vote, people will start to despise the winners and become competitive and jealous, and the winners might start to take advantage of their newfound position.

I know it sounds cool, and it honestly does, but I just don't think we want to be bothered with voting on you guys each month or week for that matter. And If it was an open vote for not just mods, it would make people that much more jealous.

GS had a graphics staff of the month back in the day but after mike left I think it started to die out... Scuba may have done it too... I dont know... I know I got it once but now none of the GS deserve it lol....

I dont like this idea too much. The only way I like it is if the mods pick the canidates and the open voting is only as a suggestion for who the community thinks should win, not the actual winner... Kind of like electoral ballets in a presidential election... The popular vote really doesnt matter, lol

There are constantly new members, it's not like it's the same 20 people on here everyday.

This isn't a royal grand award, it's just some fun. Popular vote would be fine.

Besides, if the voting was only in the hands of a few, only a few would ever get to be member of the month.
