Star Wars: Han Shoots First !!

The new Limited Edition Star Wars DVDs came out with the Original Un-Molested Theatrical release of the Star Wars Movies in two disc sets with the Special Molested Editions also. I've been waiting for a long time to see the way it was supposed to be again, Han Shooting Greedo First, instead of the other way around. The Empire Stikes BAck was the only episode Lucas redid in Special Edition that he didn't ruin, so it's nice to have that. If your thinking of buying the Boxed Set of the Limited Editions several store are offering different Exclusive Packages. I got mine at Best Buy and the Set comes in a decorative Tinny. I think Circuit City has Lithiographs with their sets.
I get get over how nice it is to see the Originals Again. I read somewhere that Lucas said that there would be no demand for Original Theatrical Releases on DVD. Sorry George , I could'nt be more pleased....

Hey I happen to like alien hookers!!!!

But as for the new old new release, SCREW YOU AND YOUR KIDS Mr.Lucas. You will not get any more of my money. I'll be happy to pop the originals in the good ol' vcr. I actually prefer the surround sound from a tape much more than from a super duper digitally remastered and reformatted ultra hi definition remix. Anyone old enough should know that as great as digital is these days, there's NOTHING like a solid tape/reel to reel/vinyl sound. Simply put, it just has balls.

I love Alien Hookers too, but they all belong to Capt. ( I'll Sleep with any Alien Hooker ) Kirk and Star Trek

I never bought the Special Editions when they were released, because I didn't care for the Special Editions that much, with the exception of Empire. So, this purchase was mucho justified, I used to have the VCR Package but sadly they as well as many other collectables were destroyed during the Florida " No Name " Storm a long time ago.

I still have my old tapes also. But I also have the DVD's, the older ones with all the extra stuff. It does not bother me with all the new stuff though. Star Wars will always be the best movie series ever!

They were giving away copies of these DVDs, and they mentioned that the whole "Han shoots first" thing, and I have no clue what that means. What exactly does him shooting first have to do with anything?

In the original theatrical release of Star Wars in the Cantina when Han Solo gets confronted by Greedo, Han gets sick of Greedo and blasts him straight up in Cold Blood, which establishes in the Movie that Han is a Eat~Your~Guts bad Arse. In the the Special Edition Lucas Changed that scene and showed Greedo shooting first and missing Han with some rather awful CG effects. Being a Star Wars Purist, that whole scene makeover was rather disturbing to me.

Even Holden McNeil stated that Greedo shooting first was one of the dumbest ideas ever in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I remember watching that scene for the first time and almost puking out my nose. Not only was it a completely stupid and useless idea, it was also done entirely cheesy. I'm sure Lucas put it in there because killing in cold blood would be a bad example for his fatassed kids.
