I consider a gunfight between two people only and a firefight with at least two people from each team just letting bullets fly. Campers, corner glitchers and people like that most definitely ruin the game. It takes no skill to sit in the same spot and shoot through a portion of the wall and kill someone who never makes eye contact with you. I straight up rush 90% of the time unless I actually stay alive long enough to help us win at the end of the round. Even then I don't camp. I will take cover behind an object for 5-10 seconds, scan the area and then move forward to another object to take cover then rinse and repeat.

Yeah so do I, so does everyone...but people who go behind an object...and "scan the area" for 3 (or however long the round is) is not cool.

There is nothing more satisfying and fun than a strategic gunfight, in which it's a 1 on 1, or even more, that involves not only shooting but timing, positioning, re-positioning, and strategy. I had an awesome gunfight yesterday in waterworks, for example. I didn't just meet the guy head-on, but by luring him after me and tossing a nade, making him pause, I managed to move around behind him through a balcony and take him out. There's nothing better in the game, both for both parties and for dead people watching. If I get killed fair and square by someone, I have no problem with it. It's when I get killed by surprise by someone I never saw because they don't move that pisses me off. And we all know how ****ing boring a game gets when the last guy(s) on your team camp.

You're right Otter! But I don't don't consider that scanning, I call that Pre-war recon, lol. The sad part is, there are many people who are faithful online gamers that truly judge their selfworth by their Socom stats. These are the guys that will camp every single round, while sittingin their room for the entire weekend only coming out to get food and drink. Just so on Monday morning they can run into middle school and tell their chess club friends that they had 23 staright MVP's on the game. Sad but true.

Alright, now that I'm posting, you know that this is going to be long an complicated, so just sit back and relax.
I believe that both camping and rushing are some of the many neccessary strategic decisions needed to win a game. Rushing does involve more skill than camping, but in a game that requires the defence of an area, camping is neccessary. Also, camping is neccessary for ambushing the enemy, although some people will view that as n00bish, it isn't. Ambushing does require some skill to do it quickly and efficiantly, with either few or no deaths in the ambushing team. Rushing is one of the harder things to do successfully in this game, and although many people view rushing as a n00b tactic, it is very usefull in the assault of a base and just to weaken the enemy's defensive line. When people can sot defeat one of these tactics, it just means that they are choosing the wrong tactic to counter the enemy's tactic. As for this so called "corner camping", I believe that anyone that thinks that using cover or leaning around a corner is n00bish, you are just stupid. I use corners all of the time, not because I'm a n00b, but because it is very usefull in defeating an enemy offensive and it allows me to take out as many enemies as possible. An easy way to defeat people who use cover and corners is to deploy either a smoke screen, or flashbang them. Or, you can just go the easy way and get up behind them, since they can't see what is behind them, only what is beyond the corner. now, as for a firefight or a gunfight, they are both the same. Both of them involve at least two weapons being fired from opposite teams, both involve at least one member form each team, and each has the same outcome, a serious dent in a teams offensive or defensive team. That is all about I have to say about this topic, so, go have fun.

Nameless, you said people consider rushing a noob tactic? What are you talking about? And it's not necessary to camp. Whenever I'm in a big maps room and something like Breach comes up, even if I'm on the "defending" team I always rush.

No idiot, read next time.
I said lean glitching, not simply leaning out and shooting me. Lean glitching where, on their screen, they're leaning out the wall (barely) but on MY screen, I can't see them, and when they shoot it looks like the wall is shooting/you get killed through the wall. You can't see their head, sometimes not even their gun, and they can kill you.
Ty for reading.

Honestly What tactic nowadays is not conisdered being a noob? What weapon is now called a noob weapon. If you rush and murder about 3 or 4 tangos, what do they do when you get back to lobby? "you guys rushin thoe whole round, you guys are straight up noobs. Honestly, that has happened to me before. Im pretty much rushing the whole entire game with an M82. Quick Sniping if you will, Not that good but i manage to go 12-5 on boneyard small terrorists. We get back to lobby, I say good game guys, A clan on the team says, "Bizzle, you are a striaght up noob, F***in Glitch Sniping, See i was in the back of the spawn sniping". Im like "well if rushing while Qsing is a felony well then sir im guilty as charged". He says" Shut up scrub, you gotta glitch snipe to kill 12 of us. I was like"you know what you're right". They they left still bitching and moaning because i owned them.
My point is, what is not considered being a noob nowadays. Anything that you do to kill someone weather it be rush them, camp, lean glitch, you're still going to be considered a noob by a guy who can't say"damn I lost, good game Bizzle, or Game otter, or good game sufi". Youll rarely find a gay who says just that. Thats why i dont worry about those types a people.

Lmao, I've basically given up argueing back to these idiots. They have a one-track mind. They won't give up on their useless argument, they won't change the way they play, so sadly s3 is ruined forever.
