I agree your best bet is wired. If you're looking for a great wireless/wired router, check out the D-Link DLG-4300, that is one of the best router made. Can handle plenty of downloads, p2p, gaming and anything else you through at it.

Don't get a wireless router if you're going to use it for SOCOM... It will only make things difficult. Sometimes you'll be playing and the number in the corner for the mics will just drop to '0' and you won't be able to hear or talk. You also lag more, and get more error messages then you would with a wired router.

If you're bent on getting a wireless router, save to other one. Connect everything like you do now, but hook up the wireless router off your wired one. That way your're computer(s) and what not can get wireless internet, and your PS2 won't have any probloms.

I have a wireless and wired router only one of which is being used and I would like to set up the wired router (Linksys BEFSR41) to my PS2. So currently I have 4 PCs on the wireless router and am hoping to get the PS2 on the wired router.
How would I go about doing this? Do you know of any guide or site that could help me or maybe even you?

Here. A VERY VERY crude drawing I did in about 2 minutes with paint. Your stuff doesn't have to look exactly like this. This is a 'scaled down' model. Your computer may be downstairs, PS2 upstairs, and routers in your backyard for all I care. This just shows you how to connect the things. The red is the ethernet cord, and the green is the signal from the router to the computer. After you set it all up, you may need to make a new internet setting for your PS2.

Just to be on the safe side, try at your own risk. I doubt anything will happen, but I can't garuntee it.

Hope this helped.
