Delete some **** you dont use. Click that disk clean up button and youll clear up some. Delete everything you dont use. I dont know? reformat if you want, thats what I usually do, but I do have eveyrhting important stored on my external hdd so reformatting is nothing to me.
ROFL I got to this point twice on my old computer. Trust me I know how it feels. By the time I got there I got my windows XP CD and COMPLETELY reformatted everything. Boom erased. I put all my music on my ipod and important stuff on CDs and I just put them back on after. You'd be amazed at how much faster it'll be.
What If I have some programs on here, that I don't remember the serial code for? Or don't have the box with the serial code on it? How do I re-install it?
Ill use photoshop for example. As its one of the few programs I have that isnt freeware. Go to help > about photoshop and the serial is at the bottom. Thats where most is. I dont know if that helped at all.
You need a Windows XP CD and all you have to do is put the Cd in, turn your computer off and and turn it back on, boot from the CD. Follow the instructions, you must Format it in order to wipe the hard drive, I can't stress it enough make sure you do, Ive seen people mess up and have two windows XP operating systems.

download a little thing called "damn small linux". It can be booted live from cd or from usb or from a floppy. It is only 40megs in size and contains everything you need to run your comp. You won't need your harddrive anymore. You can take it out and throw it away.

Easy.
Just get lots of free email accounts and send yourself whatever files you need to store. Retrieve them at your leisure.
