i need some opinions on some horrifying movies that are on dvd. I have been looking for some good ones throughout the internet at rental shops, etc. But it failed i can't seem to find one that everyone thinks is scary.

If you have some horrifying/horror movies that you know of on dvd please post

Like I said to you on AIM man, these days movies are not horrifying at all. You gotta go back and look at older ones. That's when movie makers knew how to make people **** themselves.

That's a damn good movie.

Classics to me include; The Original Halloween, Friday the 13th, Night of the Living Dead....

The Thing is fantastic. It's a SciFi Horror Movie thats also a study in Paranoia.
The Special Effects are and still way ahead of it's time. Ultra Gross

Prince of Darkness is an underrated Satanic ~ Possesion Horror movie with a guest Cameo of Alice Cooper. A group of Scientists basically find liquid Satan in a Jar and all hell breaks loose.

---anything with Bela Lugosi and Vincent Price is great if you want some of the classics.--- uhhh look more into the 80's horror like the Jason, Freddy, and Myers ages, of course with these you have to look at the earlier work before the sequels and prequels and such..there are some really good movies made in those eras..look around!---

Brimstone made a nice list there... except I didn't like House of 1000 Corpses much... I actually am not a fan of the genre at all but I'm friends with some pretty sick minded individuals and get drawn into the mix at times. The Audition is just about the most awesome movie... with the exception of Visitor Q. It's made by the same director and quite possibly the most ****ed up movie ever known.

I also have a movie that is rarely accessible here in the states called Cannibal Holocaust. Here are a few of the trivia facts I pulled about it off IMDB Pro:

The special effects in the film were so realistic that director Ruggero Deodato reportedly had to go to court and prove that it was just make-up and fake blood and guts.

The animal slaughterings in the movie were real, which resulted in the movie's being banned in its native Italy.

The film caused some scandal in Italy at the time, and had trouble with the censorship board. There was a rumor that the performers had really been slain, so director Ruggero Deodato had to take the actors with him to the set of an Italian TV show in order to prove that they hadn't been eaten alive.

The in-film-documentary "The Last Road To Hell", which features several executions, consists of authentic footage supposedly from Uganda.

Deodato was inspired to make the movie after seeing his son watching the violent news on TV, and thinking about how the journalists focus on the violence.

This movie has gained the title of the most notorious movie of all-time, and is often claimed to be banned in over 50 countries worldwide. If true, it would easily hold the world record for the most heavily banned film.

Deodato wanted a scene in which the natives fed an enemy tribesman to piranhas but he didn't have a working underwater camera. Only still shots of that scene exist.

The iconic image for the film shows a "cannibal" girl impaled on a stick. Upon being summoned to court in order to assert that no actors were harmed during production, Deodato explained that the girl simply sat on a bicycle seat attached to the pole's base, while holding a small pointed balsa wood piece in her mouth. The fake blood was then added. Deodato commented that the girl had an unusually calm temperament to be able to remain so still during the filming.

I own it but have yet to see it... Too scared. :sad:

Im sorry but When i was like 10 or 11, the Childs play movies used to scare the **** out of me. Chucky was one cool mofo though cant lie about that.
