way to have a one track, closed mind. Screw those who cant afford a few bucks here and there? Buddy, get out of ur rich middle class neighborhood and go take a look around, some people barely scrape together enough money to play and get an internet service, the idea of charging for bonus features is beyond retarded. Your mentality is one of the very things thats wrong with society today. not everyone is as fortunate as you, and if you still mooch or live with your parents, many of us are nto that fortunate either.
Dumb comment on your part.

Wow.
Id say your'e the one with the one track mind for flaming OME6A's opinion above and beyond the normal needed re-sponse. I don't agree with buyable guns and attachments in the store either, but regardless this a Hypothetical idea nonetheless. I find YOU exceptionatly beyond retarded that you think you can figure out and automatically assume one's social and economic status in the world ( see rich middle class neighborhood comment ) from reading one post from someone. Do you know how fortunate or unfortunate I am ???? Do you know how much I get paid for Punching Nuns ???? Do You ???????????

If they were to add any weapons it should be the FAMAS and Tavor TAR21.
Also instead of mentioning that certain weapons are totally modular, they should actually be modular. It would provide a lot more variety, for example the XM8 can be fitted as a LMG, low level sniper, carbine, but it also has an SMG version. Same with the G36, we got screwed with G36C with is basically the SMG version of the gun. I wish we wouldve gotten the G36E or K because they are true assualt rifles, with the E having a barrell 10inches longer than the current version we have in socom.

The idea is nice and all..But this game was created for both teams to be equal and sides to be fair. This is what the people at zipper work or at least TRY to work out. Then there would be like the elite clans that have like every fuc.kn upgrade available and raid rooms and own people because their m203 can "swivel" around a corner, or because their thermal scope has a 16x distance, or because they upgraded their boots and boot some better lighter kevlar and can run faster.. See where im getting at? Do you really want a whole group of people on the other side running around doing that? I think not, I say leave it as it is.

Wow. Seriously, WOW.
First, my response was partly in jest. Second, I didn't realize the receiving audience would be someone waiting for aid from Unicef.
Rich middle class? Maybe. I guess. I worked to get where I am though. I got knock off GI Joes and Transformers as a kid, went many years wearing clothes from the second hand shop, and didn't get an NES until the Sega Master System came out. So chill man, I know what it's like to go without, and how to appreciate the finer things in life.
I don't think my endorsement for purchasable content (which XBox Live does successfully with several games thank you very much), is to blame with all that is wrong with society as you put it.
I'd pay $50 for an atom bomb in socom. Just to drop on your spawn.

Someone said who am I to judge how fortunate or unfortunate you are. If you have the ability to throw away money on map packs, and needles additions like weapons, odds are you are not poor therefore that places you in the middle class. So your willingness to buy such and present the idea of such unnecessary gaming features gives pretty good odds ur middle class, wouldnt you think? No poor person is going to piss away money on something like a map pack or support the idea of constant charging for addons. And besides, I wasnt even referring to you, so sit down and be quiet.
As for omega, my point is ive heard remarks from you and others about how people should be able to afford the map packs, and this and that and any other add on they produce. This isnt the case. I am one who is fortunate enough to pick up such addons and promotions, but many are not. I dont care what you have worked for, but just because you can doesnt mean everyone can. By the way, I said is ONE of the things, and what i meant is the absence of the ability of this society to view things from anothers point of view, and this is a prime example. Ill bet most of the people on this site still live at home, and think because they got a car payment and a cell phone bill means they are independent. It sure as hell doesnt and I am willing to bet 80 percent of this site still lives home with mommy and daddy and gets everything off of them and doesnt have to worry about payments on a house, car, food, utilities, cell phone and numerous other bills.
This is just about the DUMBEST idea ever presented on this site about socom, bottom line. The idea of being forced to BUY weapons is about as idiotic a statement as anyone can present.
period.

well, not to be mean, but you are not forced to buy them, but you would be propelled to, or just sit there at a disadvantage.
Secondly, we shudnt be stereotyping people on here, especially if they seem to be of a different class. I mean, theres another post on here about people on socom being racist, and everyone says "we're not racist". Yet i consider stereotyping just as bad, so you might as well be a hipocrit. SO lets not try to do that, just relax and stay on topic.
And Omega, you may have been jesting, but you gave no hint as to if you were joking or not in your earlier post. So, if you could just add an lol, or something to show your joking, it would prevent a lot of arguments.
-Thanx

Weapons and items that would add more weight to one team (player) or the other would greatly benifit being included in a map pack as this would seem fair to most I think. As for me though I would certainly not mind at all buying things such as customization features for my characters and such.
But most of all as previously stated: FIX the game first! Adding more w/o resolving the outstanding issues would just create more issues and a weak desire to continue to play online.
PLEASE DON'T FLAME ME FOR THIS - **this is my own personal wish** If paying an annual fee would help pay for the time it takes to pay someone to fix these problems I will gladly step forth i.e. XBOX Live. Don't get me wrong playing free is great by far ;)
