I say get it! What do you have to lose? I personally like the game. Once you start playing & getting to know people who aren't campers & laggers its alot of fun to play! If you like run & gun you can always find rooms that are just that!

I don't get why all the hate for Socom 3. I just got it (since it became greatest hits) and so far it seems pretty much exactly like S2 but with improvements (vehicles, gun attachments, more varied rankings, less cheaters on ranked servers, etc.). The only reason I can think of people wouldn't like it is if the maps just aren't any good. I haven't played enough to judge them yet as I'm still working my way through single player.
Dont bother with it. Its full of glitchers and cheaters. I gave up on ages ago. I would be happy to pay for it fort-monthly if they maintaned it properly and released updates and patches frequently but they dont, so I gave up on it.
just wait till its really cheap then buy it
