So, some recent events have happened that were not for the good, and they made me start to think. Is life really worth living? Were we put here just as toys for "god" to play with or are we here for a specific reason? They say that you don't leave until your job is done. Is there really a "job" for you to do, or is it just talk? I mean, I'm only 16 and I think I have already found what my "job" is because it's something I am very good at and it effects a lot of people in a positive way. Discuss your thoughts on "life".

You aren't put on this world with a "purpose". However, it somehow works out with most people that they find a "calling" that they might think is their purpose. If you find what you are good at and use it for the good of mankind then you could say you have completed your "purpose", but I don't believe it is what you were put on this earth for. I mean, even if you're good at killing, don't go off and work for a gang or something. Put it to good use and work for good causes. Be a police officer, work for the military. Just do something that won't cause more problems that need fixing. Life isn't just a game, we aren't god's toys. I don't really believe we have purposes, just talents that we can use for the good or bad of mankind.

I think thats a good question.

Today I was questioning whats the point in living for a few reasons, but it was only because of problems.

Once you find your "niche" in life I think it would all seem better. I say "I think" because Im only 16 too, but it seems that once you find something that you are good at, life gets better, theoretically.

Just wondering, whats the thing your good at? If you dont mind telling that is.

I'm good at playing games, watching TV, m@sturbating (YEAH!), and being nice to people. As of now (I'm eighteen), I don't know what to do with my life and I've always wondered "Is life even that fun? I don't know what to do for my future and probably never will. If I died right now, would it even matter?" That may seem like I want you guys to "comfort" me, but I don't, I just need to get my @ss in gear and find a job/go to college. But then again, I could hire a guy to smash my head with a big freaking rock..... (but then I won't get laid!)

Life sucks and there's no reason in living, to be honest. There, I said it.

Now before you go and kill yourself stupidly, just sit back and relax. There's no purpose in life no matter how much people tell you otherwise. We live, we die. That's basically it.

But that doesn't mean you can't sit back and enjoy the bit of time you do have. Do something that will help humanity, invent something, do something that will make a difference. The point of being alive is simply to further the species, and we have enough people already. So instead of furthering the species physically (one or two kids won't hurt, obviously, but 10-15 is a bit much), what I encourage everyone to do is to help the species advance mentally, etc.

So what if your life is useless. Make the best of it that you can and try to do something good for all the rest of the people in this world. A single life is worth very little, unless it contributes and positively affects a large amount of lives.

I don't really know what I'm talking about, to be honest, and I've never thought about this before. This is basically all useless jibba-jabba, really.

Do something useful for humanity and don't be a selfish bastard like so many people in this world are. Invent something to help the poor and hungry, and then let them have it instead of demanding that they buy it with the money they don't have just to get yourself rich.

Life is only good if you make it good. That's the point and purpose.

When people say "life is hard" I reply "compared to what"? We will never experience anything other than our own lives so we might as well enjoy it... The way I see it life is a test with no real end, and the only way to fail it is to go suicidal and take the easy way out... other than that, the grave doesn't discriminate... you could be a lying cheating weasel who never did anything for anyone, or you could be the greatest person ever to live - the grave is still six feet deep

Thats not to say what we do is useless... when you are in your twilight years memories are pretty much all you will have, and I get the feeling I am going to die laughing at just how stupid the things I do right now are, but I will regret very little because I have lived a decent life so far... the only bit of advice I am in a position to give to other people is simply to do whatever you want, so long as you won't look back and think "ah feck, I screwed my life up"

Oh my God, take your little 16 year old heads out of your asses and go and experience life before you start questioning it. Answers will come with time and you'll find your path or calling in life.
