People need to understand you cant have it both ways, when the guns dont have the range everyone complains about hitting them with no result, now that you can hit anything you see people ***** some more. Get over it. Play the game.

Because at 120m+ an M16 takes 5 torso shots to kill, a Silenced IW over 10. A .50 cal will take no more than 2 shots (and rarely that) in the chest to kill at any distance. It's all about the stopping power/close range ability tradeoff.

Sniper rifle owns the long range, but unless you're an ownage quicksniper can't do much for you close range.

M16 is about average.

IW has a weaker long range, but an effective close range.

WOW! How did I miss this... you can't silence an M16 =\

There was no complaint from any rational logical person about not hitting someone 126m's away with an m16. I rather have it the old way where it would take away some health and blur up the screen. IT MAKES MORE SENSE THAT WAY.

we are on a totally different page here because I have people saying there is infinite range when in scope and your saying that was fixed. I agree with the latter because I was just killed with 2 bullets from a faraway distance that was SO FAR it was SILENCED.

It wasn't "fixed" or "broken" it was changed. GUNS HAVE INFINITE RANGE IN SCOPE. There. That is true. Addressing the other issue:

I have been sniped at before at such a range that I couldn't see the muzzle flash nor the red arrow/flash. This is no new occurance...

There is no crying, but meaningful debate about what should and should not be porgrammed into the game. You people are the ones who have the attention problems that can not stay on topic.


I don't have a problem with "glitches" because I play with logical and reasonable players....they choose not to partake in childish kid fun, this is who I choose to surround my self with. I suggest you do the same.

This infinite range thing hardly changed ANYTHING! Nothing compared to the problems glitches cause.

Brokendown:

The M16 had a range of 120 meters. Now, the farthest you can see on KF/Harster is about 135m... BIG WHOOP! Infinite range is limited by the maps fog.

The STG/M4/etc. SD + medium scope USED to have a range of about 70 meters and now has infinite range... seems alot but consider:

THEY ONLY HAVE MEDIUM SCOPES! It's very difficult to land a headshot with a medium scope at 70 meters, let alone 120. If you only hit the body, a STG SD at 120 meters will take 10-15 shots to kill, and that's no exaggeration(sp?).
