If you want to pass your burden to someone else do this. Go rent a copy of Socom and swap your disk with the game store's one. Sure it's mean, but they clean their disks after each return, right?

LOL.. I do this all the time. If a game won't work for me, I go rent it at the video store, swap it, and take it right back and tell them "It didn't work"
