Once again, how does this line of reasoning make any sense? I think you deserved the beating he gave you... You started harassing him, he didn't know what was going on and hit in self defence. Then, after realizing he mistakenly hit you, his friend, you hit him back (after you initiated the fight in the first place). What's the man to do?
I'm glad you're still friends and I'm sure he enjoys laughing about how he knocked you out, but you're seriously 'not the sharpest crayon in the box'.
* Note: I also feel sorry for myself; I am American. I'm also disgusted by this type of behavior.
