personally i think it would be smart just to use the same IP adress as you use in the first process, then while in the second process, just switch and it might bring up another Q code.
Try doing this, even if you dont have a netgear router it basically runs on the same principles. I've tried all of these other mic fixes and none of them worked for me.

Okay heres what I did to fix my mic.
Open these ports
10070 - 10080
80
6000 - 7000
10070
50000
I used them all for UDP and TCP next find your PS2's IP address which is located in your DHCP Client table. If you have multiple IP addresses there heres how to figure out which one is your PS2's.
Make sure your router is on and connect to the internet with your PS2 once your online with socom3 refresh the Client table and the one at the top is your PS2's Address.
Now set this IP address to your DMZ.
And that should be it hope it helps. :D
Yea i figured mine out but it took a while. all i did was manually did my networking configuration thru my ps2. You have to make sure that ur ports isp are the same as your ps2s. then enable your dmz make that the same isp as your ps2s as well.
Ok well I downloaded some firmware thing cuz a few of you were saying downloading that like gets it to work well that just screwed up my internet connection. So like 4 days I just reset my router and woo la, it works. I don't know wtf happened but it worked.
O and Cpt. Wade, I was looking for a clear answer since every place you look has about 3 differenet unclear ways to get your mic working. Not like I'm some noob running in screaming "ahhhh mic not working wtf i do" after I just try once to get my mic to work and look nowhere else.
