Sadly I have not played paintball once this year and probably won't. Like I said in a couple posts up. $80 all in all to play and with fuel prices it just isn't worth playing. I love the game but its way to expensive to play.

Official Paintball Thread

I know there has been a thread on this published by Mr~Pan, however it is old and it kind of died so I decided to make a new one. Post a picture of your gun and the price of it. I am brand new to paintball, so if I make a mistake about something don't go ape on me, I'm new. I am thinking about getting a Piranha R6 package. Is it a good gun? Is 150$ for the gun plus mask, 12 oz Co2 tank, 200 round hopper, and everything else I need a good deal?

Here's a pic of it with the price and the accesories I get with it.(IT'S THE TOP ONE)
Badlands Paintball Supplies Canada - Packages

Do I get that one or do I get this deal.
Canadian Tire
I know it's a little more money, but it looks like the gun is a newer model considering it has the fore grip. The Co2 in this pack is a 9 oz.

Please help me make the right decision. Post pics of guns, comments, and thoughts.

Well it shows the Piranha R6 except it's different. It looks newer because it has foregrip and the model just looks different. It shows it's 169.99$ with Mask, 9 oz co2 tank, and everything else you need.

It's not expensive when you play at a buddies forest lol. I'm going for my first time on sunday for my friends birthday at Wasaga Paintball. It is amazing there supposedly. Pan I don't mean to sound like an *** but can you please answer my question. I'm just not sure which one's the better deal...

To be honest they both look like cheep guns to me. I have a tippmann 98c and I love it. It is great for woods ball and is WICKED customizable. It depends on what you want to do. Either speed ball (shoot balls really fast in a small court sided arena) or play woods ball which is just that playing paintball in the woods which I think is the best because you can play it like socom. Speed ball to me is like pissing money out of your gun barrel.

I like the tippmann models myself because they are reliable and customizable. Every place I go to all there rental guns are 98c's.

I would shop around a bit more and find the good deals and read reviews on guns. The guns you are looking at look cheep and are kiddy guns IMO.

If you are the one paying then you will soon find out that it is not worth the money to get one. However if mom/dad are covering the bill all the way, go for it.

A pirhanna is definatley made for entry level players but here are some suggestions that I have frome being in the Paintball industry and playing for many years now.

Gun - Smart Parts ION, its a lower end tournament gun. Its good for new players or even for tournament competitors. Its highly customizable and is probably the most bought gun out there now (for its price and quality)

Smart Parts Ion Paintball Gun - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball

Tank - PMI PE 72/30, its much better to use air on a marker then CO2. Air is more efficent, you can use it in colder weather with out worry, and it improves the marker in accuracy and ROF. Most higher end guns (including the ION) cant use CO2 since it is bad for their internals, believe me you are better of with Air and not CO2.

PMI Pure Energy Fixed N2 Tank - 72ci 3000psi at ActionVillage.com : Paintball

Hopper - Evolution II (Egg), this hopper is a nice lower end force fed hopper. Its a little weaker then HALO's, Empires, and Vlocitys but it gets the job done.

Viewloader eVLution II Paintball Loader - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball

Mask - What ever you find comfortable, dont get to cheap though Safety is the most important part of paintball but here are a couple I reccomend.

JT Flex 7 Thermal Paintball Goggles - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball
Proto Switch F.S. Thermal Paintball Goggles - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball

Ive been in the paintball industry for a few years now, and believe me you will he happy with this setup. The Pirhanna is cheaper but believe me you wont be satistied with it for very long. Ive had my ION as a backup for a year now and its always come through for me when my Shocker has failed. If you have any more questions post here or send me a PM, I will be happy to respond.
