A Message that will change this game
If you're anything like me, you are tired of accidentally killing your teammate because you couldn't see his name above his head. I propose an idea to solve this problem, but I can't do it alone. I need your feedback and comments so that I can forward them to Zipper Interactive. Together we can change the way we play the game.
I propose that there'd be an option for teammate names to appear above their heads under ANY view. This "view" includes third / first person view, including any scope view. Another idea that projects off of this is that there should also be an "game-effect" option to turn teammate names on / off. I know that there is an option for this on an individual level, but there should also be an option for when a player creates a game that will effect all players during game play. It would be similar to the option of no explosives, vehicles, sniper rifles, etc. This would benefit players that express different views of realism in the game.
The bottom line is that the "on" option would show all teammate names, while player is in third / first person view, or while using any scope. The "off" option would not show any teammate names during game play. This option will not take affect for clan battles, etc.
If you have any other ideas or additions to this proposal please reply or post another forum. If you agree with the above proposal, put your Socom 3 server name below and forward this message to any members of your clan or friends you have that would agree with this. Together we can change the way we play.
Thank you,
1. Che33

It's not hard to not teamkill. Just know that the blue dots are on your team.....

I'd suggest people learn to use their radar and their mics so that this isn't even an issue.
I for one like the way it is now. I don't want to be in Citadel and not be able to see sh!t because there's 31 names taking up my screen.
We wanted this game to be more realistic, we got a few steps closer.
Zipper, leave it as it is.

Its fine the way it is. By now, I know all the costumes for both sides. Its not hard to tell the difference between the sides. Just look at the target, identify, and shoot. Your done.

i agree- you should communicate with your team, learn your team's character skins, and watch the blue dots.
i cant tell you how many times in socom2 i couldnt aim straight because of someones name getting in the way.

It would be a nightmare trying to see enemies through 16 names that are on your screen.

Not really, there was a game before this, called Socom 2, check it out.

I was referring to Socom 3 where you have 16 potential teamates and names that could obscure your view of the enemies.
PS I was agreeing with the posts above, taht said it would be difficult to see all your teamates names all the time, and I have been playing socom online since socom 1, day 1. Im an addict.
