SNIPING SPOTS REVIELED

ok i am the type of sniper that goes to the spots on the map that no one looks but can get killed from and i would like to share a couple of them to the rest of the lower class snipers (all the good players check everywhere so i know they already know these spots.

EDIT: sorry i forgot to specify that these are small map spots

Harvester <--- my map

Terror:
1. I know most snipers like to shoot off the ledge at the spawn but that is not very smart. From the seals side if you zoom up the bodies are on the horizon and can be clearly seen and sniped easily. i just got down from the ledge and up a little further next the the little hill thing.
2. The grasses underneath the rock next to the house. Okay you will get a laugh at this spot guaranteed if you have gillie and a silenced weapon. Kids have just walked over me. Today one kid ran right into me stalled over my body and walked away!
3.Top barn on the far end.. prone down into the window and zoom onto the seal spawn... you think you will hit the wood of the barn but it shoots right through (WARNING CAN GET SHOT THROUGH THE WOOD FROM THIS SPOT)
Those are my main three

Seal:
1. Okay this is a huge gaming winning spot right here.
Weapon- SR-25 SD
Clothing- Gillie
next to the house on the seal side there is a little depression next to the wall. prone down there and make sure no body part is sticking out like your head on the top side or your feet on the bottom. Now you can do a 360 turn on you right analog and will not be seen... any terror going into the seal spawn can be sniped and you can see behind you so you can stand up and pop the guy in the dome.
2.Get into the windmill are and before you actually reach the windmill (from the seal side there is a block in the map and lots of grass. prone there and wait for those guys who are trying to snipe onto seal spawn from that area.
3. Seal u-turn on the far left side so you can snipe to the "windmill path". Just get into the crevice and left lean enough so you can so the whole path. Many a kills i have gotten with these spots.

Citadel TOP 3:
Now citadel is a completely different story than harvestor. it is more of those run to a spot and quick snipe than camp in a concealed spot (but there are one or two on both sides.

"Aggressive Sniping" Seals
1. From seals spawn run up the right side stairs and through the first door but not through the second. crouch down and snipe the terrorists side doorway from the "middle door"
2. Again go up the right stairs but go all the way up ( the first big set than a smaller set to the left) and snipe across to where the terrorists run accross to get to the red room building and up to the castle.
3. This time run to the right but then into the middle where there are the two archs leading into the area with the terrorist leader statue. Snipe down the archs into that area getting the guys running from the spawn

Camp Sniping
1. On the far right of the spawn there is that big dead end and a little "area that exceeds father from the spawn" (has a big red door) prone on the right side with SR-25 SD onto spawn and get terrorists trying to get behind seals

"Aggressive Sniping" Terrorists
1. Same as number three seals but from terrorists end.

Camping Sniping
1. On the far back side of the spawn there is that flat area (the VERY back) i sometimes snipe from there.

Mutual
1. Castle Top

Now don't call me a camping ***** sniper because that is what snipers do.. tactical positioning that anticipated enemy movement.. but i can still quick snipe with the best of them

post some other goods spots on some other maps

You are not allowed to use [SS] maps and post them on any forum in anyway. They are copyrighted.

Most spots are old that lots of people know about already... mainly the harvester ones.

they may be old but there are stupid players that still think "well no one usually goes there so why bother" and that is where my strategy comes in.. works for me most of the time... and the sad part is I can use one spot 5 times in a game and the opposing team doesnt catch on...

you have to agree with me that a majority of the socom 3 players either dont know the maps or are just plain stupid

Good job. You have given away your spots. But also I have seen these spots many, many times in respawns (small havester respawn). Not to flame, but some of those are well known spots. Others, (like the one in the barn roof) I have never seen or heard of, and I consider myself a good sniper so I'll check them out. But how do you zoom in through the barn wall wood?

I do agree with you that you can sit in a spot for three or four rounds before the other team communicates enought to be able to find you. It is actually pretty funny, especially if you kill the same person multiple times from the same spot.

Ok ill add to this...

Devils road small.
Gun suggested:M87 (even though i use the L96 the M87 is easier.)
Team SEALs.

There is 4 Spots on the very right mountain. When you spawn go behind you and climb up that set of natural stairs. when you get up partially you can go left to a spot. This spot is very visible and is easy to get shot at.
Another spot is, continue going up the stairs and go strait. there is a ledge you can snipe of there. The other spot is to the right of spot of that ledge, you can walk up. The last spot on the very right mountain is to the left of the ledge i just talked about. You walk up it and then jump to get up fully.

On the Center mountain there are 2 spots i know of. Go up behind your spawn and take a right. Walk up the incline and then go up the other incline going the opposite direction. you can snipe along that area. Another spot is just go up that same direction i just spoke of and climb the edge on the right. You can snipe there.

On the left mountain there are 2 spots you can snipe that i know of. Go up the same way i told you how to get to the first center mountain (the first incline left of you spawn. when you get to a corner you can jump up a small ledge like thing. You can snipe there. Also go down the right of the corner i just talked about and you will see a rock surrounded by high grass. You can snipe there or a little bit ahead of there.

Team terrorist.
Gun suggested. M82 (even though i use the L96 but the M82 is easier)

Left Side are 3 spots that i know of. Go to the far left side of you map and go up to the building farthest out. You can snipe by that corner. If you like you can go up that small incline by the last spot i just mentioned. (but i dont suggest this because it is very visible to the enemy. Also go to the left side and the fartest building up. There is a patch of grass you can snipe the SEALs left mountain from there.

There is 1 good spot on the right side of you spawn. it is by the back building youn can go by. Go to the right side of that building by the door into the building. you can snipe spots there as well.

In the Center spot of the terrorist village. There is one spot in a patch of grass by a tree you can snipe there. (Note: you must go to that spot as quickly as possible or you will get shot.)

Well thats my spots for Devils Road I hoped it helped.

Here's an easy one that many people use, and it works great for tag-sniping.
The map? Killing Fields small, SEAL-side. In every game that I have played, terrorists just love to walk along that entire back wall and come up on the leftmost ledge (when you're looking at Terr spawn). The seals often love to climb the ladder and plop down on their leftmost ledge (again, when looking at Terr spawn) so they can watch the front of SEAL spawn and catch crossers. The way I have seen it is that this seal often gets capped by the previously described terrorist sniper. So instead, I climb the ladder, move forward some, but remain far enough back that a grenade thrown onto the front seal wall in this left corner won't kill you. I plop down and watch the terrorist walkway while a buddy goes further to snipe crossers. I can't count how many times I've popped a terrorist who just runs and runs straight to the edge

That's just one.... I figure I'll be nice and share, especially since it's just an adaptation of a well known spot.
