You have to be dumb seeing those dead terrorist and still wanting to join. It would also be dumb to thaink that doesn't happen to our guys. All i have to say is God bless their families, and the families of everyone in the service.

I have a slot for RIP coming up this year. Ranger School kicked my ***, now lets see how the Ranger Indoctrination Program smokes me.

If you decide to not go with the ROTC thing, ask for an option 40 on your contract. That gaurantees you a slot in RIP directly and Airborne School.

Stupid me went with an Option 10 which is a gaurenteed Airborne slot and I wound up in the 82nd Airborne Division 1/505 PIR, Bco, 3rd PLT. I enlisted as an 11Bravo (which is Infantry). I went on my second enlistment and enlisted as an 91Whiskey1Pappa, which is a combat medic.

Good luck on your endevors with the military.

Its true what people say... games destroy the perception of whats real and whats not... you people don't what war is you look it throught the eyes of a little kid but don't think about the consequences of your acts, there is no respawn in real war you won't mature and you won't survive training stop thinking like brats and see throught the eyes of an adult person.

Usually these are the type of people that will excel in military training. Alot of people don't realize that many spec ops personnel are, in fact, classified as "nerds".

Take Army Green Berets. Aside from being able to conduct special warfare, most Green Berets need to know multiple languages, be excellent diplomats, and be excellent teachers. The main mission of alot of special operations teams is not to conduct warfare, but to teach small groups of people to conduct warfare for themselves. That is what is happening in Afganistan, and to a bigger extent in Iraq right now (granted most of the training in Iraq has been turned over to more "traditional" Army units).

Good luck to anybody that has the goal of joining the spec ops forces. If you are serious about joining up, then you need to make that goal the center of your life in order to achieve it.

Sweet.

great sig too.

I would join the seals in a heartbeat, except I just know that those terrorists will pull out noob tubes as soon as I start owning 'em.

Who needs that? :D

strength is good to have in wanting to become a SEAL. But its all heart. If you want to do it it will happen. If you fail the first time you have another chance to come back stronger.
