A couple things:
I remember in the back cover of the S2 instructions there was an ad for the NAVY so no doubt it is a recrutment tool

I would never want to be a Navy SEAL for the sole fact that i would hate being in the navy as opposed to the marines or army. However being a SEAL is not about stength its about physical and mental endurance you could be 5'10 160 and have a better chance than a guy who's 6'3" 200lbs and stronger, but youd have to be tougher than him. I suggest reading Richard Marcinko's book, he was a SEAL when he wrote but i think he got in trouble so i guess hes an ex-seal now

Finally being a SEAL in real life is nothing like this game, SEALs dont die (atleast not often) they have the best of everything and them going against enemies would be like the University of Texas playing some Texas high school team in football.

i have always wanted to join the army or mariens before socom 1 even came out but i am still to young . i feel i will though some day.. only 2 more years

Socom didn't make me want to become a SEAL. Training to become a SEAL made me want to buy Socom. I was in BUDS before and I got bumped out the 7th day due to a broken colar bone. Fell off one of the ropes course walls. BUDS is the physical version of hell. I get to apply to BUDS next year and I'm going to do it. Wish me luck :D

i was already into sf ands military forces but socom sort made me get into military even more i'm one of best military buffs in my high school now. good luck man hope you don't fall this time

I don't think I would ever join a military branch I just couldn't commit to it.

I want to join the MA State Police that way I can help people, have a cool car, gun, and get stupid n00bs off my highway!

or I want to join the IRS :D

To the guy who said 99% of people on here aren't physically fit, you might be right, but im sure theres plenty of people here who actually get outside or workout.

Yeah I must be 1% of socom players huh? I make sure I am fit because as a teen you can never really know what your profession will be, and being fit can never hurt you, but not being fit can.
