I didn't read through all 5 pages, so if this has been correctly answered... I am sorry.
The screaming sounds in Killing Fields is an Arabic call to prayer. It is in Arabic but I can't really understand it to tell you exactly what it says. I speak and understand Arabic but it is too garbled to make anything of it.
In Iraq, they have 5 calls to prayer daily and in places like Fallujah and Basra, insurgents use the call to prayer to organize guerilla attacks on the American forces. We would often hear calls for jihad in the middle of those prayers.
The jets and artillery sounds are obvious considering it is a combat zone but I just wanted to explain what that was.
The whistling on fault is just another example of background noise to set the scene.
