The Story Behind Your Socom Name...

[Subject 17]

E-town (or e_town cause I forgot the pw in 1 hour to the other one) was the abbreviation for my hometown from where I am originally from, Elizabethtown, PA. We have a great sense of pride and we always call our town "E-town", even the Movie Theater and public access stations. I remember in first grade when we had to do a report on our home town (there were some smaller suburbs around such as rheems, Bainbridge, and a few other places) everyone called it e-town, but I thought it had to be professional and called it "Elizabethtown". I was so embarrassed when half the class didn't know that was the real name of the town.

As For DBOYZ-X, my old clan that was full of old friends from my earliest of socom days that I had met later on after socom got screwed up had this thing: everyone in the clan had to have the prefix "DBOYZ-", and then have our identity after the "-". the "D" stands for "Detroit", which was the hometown to the clan leader (and his 100 cousins who also had socom online). Later on the "D" could be replaced with the first letter of your hometowns name, but I already had my 85 rating (ensign rosters, 85 is lowest possible rating), so the "D" stuck. As for the "X" suffix, XXX was deemed "possible suggestive nature in my username" and I was instructed to please try another. Don't know exactly why I chose "X", but it was a good desicion because it was a catchy nickkname, easy to say, easily distinguishable, and once we switched from the clan tag [MOB] to [MOBSTERS] mine was one of the few names that fit on one line.

And my name is dboyz-x.etown because one forum (actually it might of been this one last march) didn't allow "_" in the user handle and the "." was just used to seperate the two.

well, back in my s2 playing days, i was in a commanders only room and i was like... 17-3 with my m16a2 and after the game was over the other team was like "damn u have a sharp shot" so i thought to myself hmm... Sharpshooter and thats what i use now. -SharpShooter.

[Komoto]

Well, Komoto is not my name of choice really. I don't know if anyone plays Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, but if you do, you are definitly familiar with the well known sniper Komoto. I play the game, and my name on it is DrunkPenguin, which I had intended for my name to be on S3. I just made this name to get familiar with the game but wanted a freinds list still so I registered it. But before I knew that once you registered a CC, and couldn't change the name, so Komoto became my official name. I'll probably sneak into my mom's purse and get another CC and change my name to DrunkPenguin.

And don't be hatin' just cuase I'm not old enough to have a credit card. (I'm 15). Because you were that age once too, and if you had a CC, then you are of a higher calling than me and should not be playing Socom.

My current name is "Gunz....". In Socom 2, my name was x2gunzup which at the time was my aim name. People used to always call me "Gunz" so since Gunz was too short for a Socom 3 name I made it "Gunz....".

Sorry for being off topic, but I couldn't resist throwing in my two cents here... so technically since you are only 15 years old, you shouldn't be playing a game that is rated "M" (ages 17 and up).

my socom 2 name is A_A Infantry and sc3 name is AAInfantry. this name came from another online game that didnt have clan tags. the only way to be part of a clan was to change your name. the leader was A_A Rang3r i think. there was others called A_A Sniper, so mine was A_A Infantry
