You will probably find out from the moderators as well as other forum regulars that cheaters and people looking to circumvent the DNAS anti-cheating software are heavily frowned upon. I dont think any one will help you here. My suggestion is to go buy a new legit playstation, and try playing with that one. (even if you did not intend to cheat).

I wasnt trying to circunvent the DNAS thats why i removed the chip from my PS2. The 612 error is related to my network setings or my ISP, i just want to put it on again and disable it when i intended to play socom 3 online

Why did it have a mod chip in the first place? Sorry.... I really dont know how to mod or unmod a ps2. I just play it out of the box. If it is not too old, go buy a new one, and swap them and then return old one in the box at like a price club store (Sams Club, Cosco). They take anything back. Good luck

I guess you are not understanding me. MY PS2 NO LONGER HAS A MODCHIP I HAVE NO PROBLEM PASSING TROUGH DNAS CHECK, I have some friends with modchip in the USA and they dont have problems with the DNAS check when playing SOCOM 3 online. I used to have a modchip because you cannot find legal copies of playstation videogames arround and if you do find one the price is the double than in the USA and considering the low power of the money in Colombia that price will be the salary of 70 % of people. My Socom 3 copy was gift from my friends in the USA. And they also have modchips i have no idea which model but the dont have problems with DNAS and yes their game is also retail brand new. No ilegal stuff

Sorry. I stand corrected. Has socom3 ever worked for you? Is it possible thet your ISP has a firewall up? Other than that I wish I could help you more.

I wish I knew what Error 612 was. They should have all the meanings of the errors in the manual. Although it would add about 16 extra pages to it.
