In day maps some camping spots you can see almost 1/4-1/3 of the map in THIRD PERSON whereas you have to in first person to see about 1/4 of the map with FIRST PERSON. Because of that snipers can't kill you in the first 10 seconds of a night map. Also you can be more "sneaky" when moving around because of the lack of range that snipers now have. Thus, making it tougher for people tojust camp with a sniper and get MVP every game.
