I have come to the conclision that America sucks. Based on how the government works, how we are taxed, how voting works, and much much more. You may call me "unpatriotic" or other things, but heres my opinions on the flaws of America.

Politics
What really pisses me off is the extremeist democrats or republicans. They are always blaming each other for something else and taking credit for something that the other side really did. But if you try to go halfway and be independant, you will just be ignored. So, there are just 2 sets of ideals to run the U.S. government by. In my opinion, neither of the political parties do a very good job anyway.

Voting
Voting is great. If we do get another Hitler in office, we cant blame him or anyone else. Then it would be our own fault. But in the presidential election, its a rip. The electoral college votes based on the state's popular vote. WTF is up with that? It should be set up so that the people actually vote for the president.

The good ol' American justice system
America - The only civilized place where you can rape and murder a 17 year old girl and only get 15 years in prison. Come on. It should be like "an eye for an eye." Well, maybe in some cases. But, if you intentionally kill someone (when not defending yourself) you should be given the chair or life in prison. In America, you can get away with crimes just because the arresting officer did not read you your rights. And then there's politics in the justice system. Its all corrupt.

Political Correctness
"Freedom Fries" because France didn't help us in the war. "Hate Crimes" if a white kid hits a kid of another race. And much, much more. It is going out of control. And it is getting annoying. People need to face it. The world isn't perfect. All those over-protective soccer moms out there need to accept that there are more than white kids out there and that there is violence on TV. It is just how the world is.

Taxes
The government taxes the hell out of us. About 30% of people's paycheck is taken by the government. And our government is spending billions and billions on nukes and bombs. The government can take a ridiculous amount of money from you and can still be in a deficit. They need to figure out a way to use their money wisely.

Now im just kind of ranting, but out country just has a ton of flaws. This country was supposed to be a great place, but it just seems to be slipping away. It is a lot better than poor countries and communist countries, but I still do not enjoy living in this place.

Well, it is pretty bad, these people hate eachother. Aren't we all trying to achieve a common goal? Aren't we one people... no, we go crazy about politics because we so strongly believe that theres no other way.

Well, the electoral college was set up a long time ago and has always worked except for twice. Its a great system, and gives the people who campaign a reason to go to the small states. Its making the small states matter.

I don't care if I'm "not tolorant" cause I dont care. It IS christmas break from school... I dont think anyone would get time off for a time of year. Anyone who doesnt celebrate christmas can deal with it.

Maybe so, but when theres a hurricane in the south, the goverment is there to help... eventually. When there was that earthquake in El Salvador a couple years back, we were the first there. The US government does more than make bombs.

Now im just kind of ranting, but out country just has a ton of flaws. This country was supposed to be a great place, but it just seems to be slipping away. It is a lot better than poor countries and communist countries, but I still do not enjoy living in this place.

I think you would be quite surprised how great of a place to live this is.

Imo the US is among the best places to live on the face of the Earth, and although it's not perfect (you can never have that), it's damn good. I'm not flaming you, i just want to point out that you highlight the negatives while the positives far outweigh them.

Other countries are either third world countries, highley overpopulated, higher dises rate than America, or even just majorly corrupted. Women in the middle east can't show any part of their bodies or they can be killed or their hand chopped off? What the f-ck is that? And stop complaining about taxes, they have always been around and always will be. You can't stop it, just get a higher paying job.

Let's go down your list and prove how many times you're an idiot.

Politics: We have extremists yes. So don't vote for them. But you can't vote; forgot.

Voting: Electoral College was to provide equal rights for everyone. Cities tend to vote Democratic, other places tend to be Republican. If we allow popular vote be allowed to choose the president, 2/3rds of the population who live in major cities will provide us with a Democrat as our President. Not very equal now is it?

Justice System: Blame Democrats for the Meranda Rights. They felt sympathatic to a Mentally Challenged Criminal and let him go due to him not knowing he doesn't have to tell the cops what he did.

Political Correctness: Seems people under 18 only feel the pressure of this.

Taxes: If you're complaining about ours, go to the Dutch. You'll love it there...

I said this before and I'll say it again.

If you do not like our country, whine to mom and dad until they give you the funds to move to Australia.
And if you feel like whining again, make sure you can vote before hand.

Every problem the US has, another country somewhere has it worse... your elections are quite alike to the elections the elections held here in NI... who wins in terms of vote numbers is extremely important because the only reason there is any stability is because a section of the community are waiting for a majority, and when that happens the nation will cease to exist... a united Ireland, my good man :D

Your country no longer spends billions on it's nuclear capablity, the cold war ended over a decade ago

You know that your military can defend your nation... what about people in other parts of the world who have a maniac warlord 100 miles away and no real defense?

So yeah, the US is no paradise, but it rates highly against other nations... be thankful for what you got...

Back on subject. Why in the world are so worried about politic and every aspect of the world so young. You can't vote, so you have no voice. So basically you talking but no one is listening.
