CD drive help
I have two CD drives on my computer - a plain Cd-ROM drive and a DVD/CD-RW drive. Both of them decided to stop working at the same time. When I go into my device manager, the CD-ROM error message is that the registry information is either missing or corrupt. Next to it there is "code 19". I searched that on microsoft.com, which then told me to delete certain registry files. I go and try to delete them, and Windows tells me I can't. The DVD/CDRW drive has a "code 41" and says that the driver loaded successfully, but it cannot detect the drive itself. I know for sure that the DVD/CDRW drive is connected properly, so that can't be the issue.
Can anyone help?
