Yeah i dont see any end in sight...but you know this brings up a good topic...i think this was in CNN but i read a article about Nintendo having to really show some innovation to keep its fanboy crowd because its generation of gamers have grown up and for most of them... the console that they own now (n64 , psone, ps2, xbox) will be their last console unless they are triggered by some kind of new innovation.

which made me wonder...damn, is this going to be my last console...???....NAW i can always convince the wife that my new PS3 is a media center pc! = )

That was me. But I'm 57 :D . I talked to one guy, in Socom 2, that was 62. And I know two others, that are in their early 50's. I belong to a couple of clans, that have all different age groups. And it's a blast playing with them all. As long as they act mature.

This is an old thread, but I think it deserves more attention.

I am 36 and I have been gaming online since my buddies & I played a modded Dungeons & Dragons text game via our new "lightning fast" 9600 baud modems on our C64's. (I think this was around 1985 or 1986)

Before that, no online, but I had a Telstar when they first came out.

I have played/owned them all. I'm pretty sure that I am the first generation to actually grow up with video games.

I will be a gamer until I am too old and useless to play anymore, then, I will find some youngsters & tell them how we used to play in my day.

"sniff, sniff" Where is that OLD MAN STINK coming from...?

My Grandpa just turned 99 and he does play some video games. Not a great deal of them, but he will pick up the controller once and a while. Although, he can't play for a longtime, due to his hands. They start to hurt. Still, I give the man major credit, playing video games at 99? Thats amazing.

I will also state that the man is still living strong. He can walk and can carry a conversation.

Im 16 so get me on the list of old people

But when someone said something about oldest gamer prize or whatever, you got me wondering. Alot of people are very immature and dont act their age so does the prize go to the person who is actually the oldest or is it based on mental age?

A 99 year old man plays video games? My grandparents can hardly turn their computer on, better yet know how to use it or play a game.
