Rank doesn't matter...??

Rank matters to anyone who verified their account. Plain and simple. Those who verified their account and say rank doesn't matter is probably an Ensign and CAN'T get rid of that tasty butter stick. Keyword being CAN'T

didnt read any post but this ****ing rank **** has to stop. everyday i come to the forums and see new topics about rank. why dont people just talk about something esle about the game other then rank.

wait what i didnt come to talk **** i just saying everyday there is a new topic about rank and it would be nice to see something else about the game. i think there are many people out there that feel the same way.

All arguments aside, I personally don't care about rank, but I can see how people could. I mean it's your record. I just don't like it when higher ranked players act like hot **** in front of players who don't have a high rank. I'm pretty sure I have more losses than wins, and I'm not the best player on Socom, but I play for fun and don't care what others think.

I'm gonna be honest, the only reason I verified is so I can have clans, friends list and so I don't have to play with AS MANY little kids (I say as many because lets just face it, we ain't never getting rid of them.)

Rank to me is just a record of your achievements, and I think its nice to see what you've accomplished over time. Having these idiots who use multiple ps2's and cheat to make top 10 kinda takes away from the novelty of earning the ranks.

If you think about it, these people aren't even playing the game. The game they're playing is who can get their name the highest, and just think whenever they log on it's not to enjoy the game - it's to enjoy the fame, even though it's quite the opposite of fame.

More like LAME.

I really don't think it's that big a deal, I do like to have some credibility but when yer team is behind and all anyone is talking about is "how do I get my rank up?" it gets pretty annoying.

Sorry, have to disagree with you there. People can verify there account for reasons other than rank. To join a friends clan, friend list and things. Just because someone verifies doesnt mean they care about rank.

I do not care about rank, it is a video game. I will say my stats aren't recording, it's just annoying, it's just one more stupid bug in the game. Sure, I'd like a nice rank, but I really don't care. I like to have nice stats, I wouldn't say I care, but I do show a little emotion towards stats. Rank and stats are completely different. People who care about a small picture next to their name on a tv screen for a video game on the internet, I find it extremely stupid.
