SR25 & SASR: Why soooo popular?

I know a ton of snipers seem to love the SR and SASR, and I'm just curious why they don't go with the one shot kill sniper guns instead. Just because they can't be silenced? Or because they're lighter? Or because theyre so damn good they get headshots everytime so they don't worry about the one shot rifles? Are they much more accurate than the others? School a fool! :?

The SR and the SASR can be silenced which a big reason why I use them. They have faster fire rates and you can kill someone in two shots and they will never know where you were if you have a silencer on them. I really dont like the M8's bcause like you said they are really heavy, they are extremly loud, and they take way too long to load in between. If you miss a person with a M8, its so easy for them to spot where you are sniper from. If that were to happen with the sr or the sasr, you are still able to stay in your position and shoot at them with the quick fire if the enemy doesnt have a 203 or something. The M8 doesnt give you that advantage. But if your good and hit the enemy 100% of the time, then use the M8's.

well being silent is great becasue if you miss the first time or a few times you still get many more shots without being spotted.. also if there aer 2 guys you can take them at one at a time without being spotted.. with the non-silent kind you get 1 or 2 shots at most begore you give away your position...

The SR and SASR are just as accurate as the M8s. THe ability to silence them makes them invaluable. Also the quick rate of fire makes them devestating in rooms that are more full.

i hate when people use the snipers silenced, i mean, its fair and all i guess, but what fun is sniping if there arent a few bullets flying past your head as your doing it? (and i only hate it cuz i always die from them ;-) )

Isn't it obvious?
If you're sniping that probably means you're chickensh1t, and therefore will most absolutely want to be silenced as well because you evedently can't handle someone shooting at you. So of course you're going to prefer the only two sniper rifles that can be silenced.

Sorry, I've got no love for snipers. I'm sure many will have a swift retort on the topic, but honestly it's something that takes no skill at all to do. You're lining up a dot in the middle of your screen on the head of a person that doesn't know you're there and typically it'll take you one shot to kill a person. If you want to show your skill, come out and face me

i use the SR and SASR cuz of all of the above reasons, and more...... like on killing fields (small) i was on the raised walls sniping, and 3 people tried to rush me from the top of the wall and i saw them rushing, so i turned and just fired away..... I got all 3 of them all because of the (relative) rapid fire of the SR.
