SR25 & SASR: Why soooo popular?

Im sorry M!ke I have to disagree with you. Everything in the game takes a little skill no matter what. The way you describe it is when you are sniping in the scope you have auto aim to the head on or something. I dont snipe a lot but I know it takes a little more skill then just lining a dot on someone's body. There is also being skilled with a pistol, knowing where to position yourself, knowing when to get up and move up your position, etc.....There is a lot more involved then shooting.

IMO the m87/m82 is superior to the sr-25/sasr due to its increased range, and is more pwerful. I dpnt really need to worry about the fact how fast i can reload becyase your guna be dead the first shot.

I think sniping is much easier in this game because there are more open places to snipe. You have much more time. I snipe sometimes, but usually I just use an IW, and when I see somebody far away I can scope in on them. When I do snipe I don't like the SR 25 or the SASR because I hate the 12X scope.

Sorry, I've got no love for snipers. I'm sure many will have a swift retort on the topic, but honestly it's something that takes no skill at all to do. You're lining up a dot in the middle of your screen on the head of a person that doesn't know you're there and typically it'll take you one shot to kill a person. If you want to show your skill, come out and face me .

Dude, just 'cause you can't snipe doesnt mean there isnt skill to it. Now I'm sure any chance you would get you would sneak up behind someone with a SD. It's not that easy to line up the heads of people, considering most are running side to side, full speed, and jumping around. Now, one shot's and SR's are easy to use, but I use the M40A1. That weapon takes skill, you either need a headshot or two bodies. You can knock on snipers all you want, but saying there is no skill involve is like a kick in the face.

I can snipe, and it isn't that hard, and I agree with some of what he is saying. Although i would have worded it differently. That's why the SR/SASR are so popular. It's easy to hide in a bush with a guille suit, or even without, and snipe with an SR/SASR. Once your scope levels out, it's even easier, you can shoot quick with no recoil and a steady scope. It's very simple. 2 shots to the body is very very easy.

Sounds like someone has been sniped once too often. Contrary to what you say, sniping takes as much, if not more, skill than running and gunning. It is not just the shot, but the perfect selection of camouflage and slow and patient movement that make it a very meticulous and slow process. If you are experienced enough, a sniper is easy to dodge, but a sniper's skill comes in when he/she has to hit you as you jump around.
