Rep Power: 7 | My Socom 3 review I would like to first thank zipper interactive for making such a wonderful game. First i would like to point out the Pros and Cons
Pros: The whole layout of the game is utterly amazing. The Socom Online theme music has been upgraded to make one of the greatest theme song thingy. The weapon modifications are very cool you can pretty much customize any type of fire arm in the game. The vehicles in SOCOM 3 make the game so much more realistic and fun The maps are big and spacious a snipers paradise.
Cons: It is a big change from the previous SOCOM games, which may at first be kind of confusing but you will get use to it. The maps are a little to big at first. after about a week of playing online you will get use to the HUGE maps.
well that is all i can think of for this review i will add on to it as i continue playing the game.
Overall i give the Online version a 9.5 out of 10
I give the Single player version a 9.0 out of 10
P.S. The new weapons are awsome
Lurtz added on to this review with alot of the cons i had missed. here they are. Quote:
Lurtz
You missed a bunch of cons. Here's a list: can't change weapons, mics don't work a lot of times, can't message people from game lobby most times, can die twice in the same round, it is easy to get stuck and not able to get unstuck, can't accept invites from the room, no message board for the clan, ranked games weren't being counted, clan ladder is messed up, can't switch weapons, have to be in a briefing room to message people, doesn't tell what briefing room your friends and clan are in, have to turn friendly fire on, have to turn respawn option on for respawn rooms, no clan games, can only challenge one clan per ladder.
| Thanks lurtz ______________________ |

I still give the online play 9 out of 10. It would be 10 out of 10 if they fix some of the problems. ______________________ |

:? ah what...?
Lets get a couple of things straight here Lurtz You CAN change your weapons, did you try hitting R2 when you died? There is a message board for your clan Have to turn Friendly fire, respawn, and all that on? you had to do that for Socom 2 Im pretty sure you can accept clan,/friends invites in-game as well. ______________________ |

Rep Power: 6 | From what I've seen there isn't a message board for your clan...and why would there be? Do you think they want to make 50 billion message boards and keep track of every one? Occasionally you wont be able to switch your gun...but I believe this has been fixed for me anyways....I haven't seen it happening anyways. You can send invites but you can't accept them in game...and once again..why would you? Yes you can message people from game lobby....try typing /w namehere messagehere I'm not sure where you're getting stuck all the time at...but don't goto that spot anymore....my gosh...is it that hard to stay away from a spot...I've gotten stuck twice....Once was some spot in Harvester...and it benefitted me b/c I owned like....4 terrorists. The other was when I was screwing around with a fried driving vehicles....lmao...that was fun. Well...that kinda went off topic. ______________________ God Bless America, but she stole the B from "Bless" |

You can't change your weapon meaning that you press R2, you select your sh!t, you start of with the same gun as last round (basically your stuck with the same gun throughout the game). I had to wait for the next game to be able to change guns. ______________________ Quote: |

Don't reply if you don't know what your talking about.
You CAN change your weapons, did you try hitting R2 when you died? Yes, some people can but there are a lot of people who can't too.
There is a message board for your clan
Really, I'd like you to tell me where it is then.
Have to turn Friendly fire, respawn, and all that on? you had to do that for Socom 2
Yes, that is true but you didn't have to turn it on for every map you add to the play list. Plus friendly fire was usually already on when you created a room on SOCOM 2.
Im pretty sure you can accept clan,/friends invites in-game as well.
Ahhhh...No, You can send them during a game but can't accept them. How do you accept them then smart guy? ______________________ |

Ahhhh...No, You can send them during a game but can't accept them. How do you accept them then smart guy? | How do you have trouble pressing R1? elaborate on this please Most ppl prefer FF "off" so zipper put that as the default. I read it in an article somewhere months before S3's release, dont ask me to go find it No message board? It said on all the previews there would be one...odd guess they took it out Friends/clan invites...messed up on that one my bad
Just trying to have an intellectual arguement, no hard feelings Lurtz? ______________________ |

Just trying to have an intellectual arguement, no hard feelings Lurtz? | No, I don't have any hard feelings but you need to look into some of these things. It sounds like you are getting your information from some source and not first hand experience.
Yes, there is a message board but it is not a clan message board. It is for all the public. On SOCOM 2 they had a very helpful message board for the clan.
I'm not sure what you are talking about with the R1 button, but I think you mean R2. Pressing the button is not the problem but when you press it some people cannot change their weapons.
Most people I know like playing with friendly fire on. Almost all the rooms on SOCOM 2 had friendly fire on. Also you shouldn't have to go to every single map and switch it to FF on. There should just be an option to have it on or off for all the maps and the same thing for Respawn. ______________________ |

Rep Power: 5 | Ok erg, you obviously don't understand. When you press R2, you choose your weapon, next round starts, you have the same weapon. You have to wait for next map to start to be able to switch weapons again. ______________________ Quote: |

Rep Power: 5 | well lurtz 90% of the cons of the game you mentioned arent really flaws ther just problems with the game. all games have problems when they are first released, and in time they will be fixed. the only real cons i can agree with you are the no accepting friends invites in a room, which wasnt in socom 2 either.the fact that you must be in a room to message friends/clan members is definately a big flaw in my mind as well as your friends list/clan list not telling you where your friends/clan members are. |

If you don't think the things I mentioned are flaws then there is something wrong with you. I never said they couldn't be fixed and I'm sure some will, but some cannot be fixed. ______________________ |
