Will Socom 3 Break the online record!?!

Yep.. it definetly should. All you need is atleast like 5,000 full rooms.. thats 32x5000=160,000, woah or even 4,000 rooms which would be
128,000 people.. dude Socom will kill whatever that record is. There will probably be way more than that actually.

WIth XBox 360 and PS3 due around S3 (same time and a few months later) S3 will probably break the record, but won't hold it for long

they have new servers, dont theorie on anything yet. the most ove witnessed was 45-50k around christmas. thats socom's record for most players on.. the 22k in the first 24 hrs is biased because 8 of those hours were night (it got released at like midnight, noone played it until like 5 the enxt day) and im pretty confident that we wont see any huge jump in the player amount for socom 3, we may see one around christmas, but theres only so many people that are going to be able to play the game, and want to play the game, at any given time. (and nothing is going to break counterstrike records...there usually somewhere around 1 million players a day,100-200k at any given time. nothing else comes close)

Well plain and simple S3 will be the best online game peroid and we will ahve a shitload of people on playing, i just hope that the rooms are set up the same as before

It will. Because I know people who never had SOCOM and talking about this one like it's brand new and there never was a SOCOM 1. Though most HALO player hate to admit that they play SOCOM, but most HALO players are going to turn coat come October, 11. 2005.

The largest amount of players I have ever seen on at once was about 55,000 near Christmas and for a while after.
one additional detail I would like to say is that socom is free if you have broadband. This is very appealing for many of my friends who are concerned about their money. Many of my friends who play halo have tried socom, and they like it because it is something different. A few of those friends are thinking about buyin a ps2 just for socom since there is no monthly fee. So far I know 3 people in my town who play socom. My best friend, his cousin, and another guy from their school.

I believe the most I've ever seen since Socom 1 came out was over 50k at some point. Socom 3 Roxx0rz and we will have a new generation of players joining us when it releases. Yeah, there definitely needs to be some bad@ss advertisement for Socom 3, just for alittle boost.

Sry but i remeber the first night Socom 2 was released there was aleast 40,000. Now gamespot was saying that they still averge 22,000 every day! Its been like one and a half years since Socom 2 came out and they are still getting 22,000 a day. Now i dont think Halo 2 is close, but i could be wrong, i dont play Halo (overrated). But i still think S2 brings in more than Halo on averege. Halo might have had the most in the first week or w/e but i dont think they get 22,000 or more a day...........
