I'm pretty sure that you have a good idea of what the ranking % will be. I just hope that those Admiral positions wont be filled with rank-ups. Socom does a good job of rankings ,but i liked ranking systems like Ghost Recon, where you start as a private and move up the enlisted ranks based on a system of points determined by who you beat in each round. Im looking forward to settling in with one of the Commanders....

That is true. I thought a system such as that or similar to Battlefield 2 would cause more corruption in the ranks. In this type of ranking system as was in Socom2 it has a few people ranking up as it is harder to crack the system. In Battlefield 2 it is so simple to cheat the system. Everything is given to you up front. You know exactly how many points you get for everything you do and how many you need to accomplish certain feats and get certain rewards. All you would need is a few friends and you can be the top rank in a few days. This is why I hated Battlefield 2 after awhile of playing it.

yeah that defly sounds like thats how it will be...

i wish we could have different specialities like you can train on a certain thing (i.e. sniping bombs auto matic assualt riffles vehicles etc.) then in each of those ranks you can get specialtie badges to place above an ordinary ranked player

example you are a captain with a elite sniper badge wich places you higher than a regualr captain

Very well done Comm. If anyone has heard about how you will be noticified once ranked up during a room, I would like to know...I hope to god there are mod's in this game so they can check the high ranked people and see if there lagit or not.

wait.... didnt they say that there will be enllisted ranks and you only put officers ranks

No there will only be officer ranks. This was confirmed. We all didn't know what they would use but it seems to be officers only.

Does Ensign not count as an enlisted rank? I dunno as I ain't a navy man and ain't american, but I suspect it is equal to private

I do not think bonus objectives, headshots, rounds won or accuracy should come into consideration when doing the rank... just things like kills/deaths, bombs planted/defused, hostages rescued, VIPS killed/rescued should determine your rank

i think there is a time peroid where you are "unranked" while you build up stats to become an officer but there are minimum amounts of kills/wins/bomb plants/defusals/extraction/control captures/ convoy delivary/ thtat you need to advance

well thats how i think its supposed to be
