well if there gonna improve smokes they need to make the smoke drift higher so peeps all over the map can see it so you can bee like "theres someone on this balcony somewhere ," you chunk a smoke and everyone sees it painting the balcony the enemy was on that way you dont have to waste 4 grenades trying to kill himor flush him out!

there should be a way of telling if the flashes work cuz you can thow all 6 and the enemy wont get blind but you mite think he is. If i knew he was blind the i would go for it. I mean it wont tell you how long hes blind or whatever just 1 sec thing like on the coner of your screen it says "Flashed" or something.

Smoke is well underestimated. We use it quite a bit, to prevent snipers from having an unobstructed view, to create an attention spot for your own team or to mark the enemy's or your own position.
I normally like to let a team-mate place a bomb, i throw smoke and plant a mine in/amongst the smoke. It takes a long time to do this, but it ensures havoc amongst the enemy.

It would be nice to have the smoke (or another slot) work as an CS gas grenade. Gas is used frequently amongst SF forces and it shouldnt be too much trouble to program it in. It blurres vision and irritiates the defenders. In addition you could have the Seal/Tango put on a gasmask which would only work in first person.

yeah, CS (tear gas) would be cool, when it first goes off if the enemy is right next to it w/o a gas mask he should choke and fall over gasping with blurried vision and such, then after a while rgain his standing then slowy the choking stops and then the blurry vision goes away

Tear gas would be a great little toy in socom 3, good thinking Vilkas It. Tear gas that incapacitates the opposition, only for afew moments even, would be a great way to storm a base, and if you don't want terrorists camping the vip room, just lob afew tear gas cans in and 'sshhhhhh, pumf, sshhhh' vuala, the terrorists will be tearing up like... the seals are cutting onions under their noses :D . Perhaps you might even be able to have a dedicated member on the seals team that can use a handheld M79 that fits into the pistol slot or something, and fires the CS cannisters.
